The Library is a feature voted in by the Library Decree during the Season 17 Elections. It is a section of the website where there are records of both Pre-History and post-Return History presented in a Feed format. It is overseen by Lōotcrates.

Overview

The Library was first accessible at the start of Season 18 after the preceding Off Season. It is divided into sections which contain a varying number of "books," each a cut of Feed events with occasional comments from Lōotcrates. Not all books are immediately available, with the ones with restricted access having their titles redacted. These redacted books will be periodically revealed to Fans by Lōotcrates or rarely another God, such as the Reader.

Notably, even in revealed books, there are usually redacted Feed items in them. These items were completely inaccessible until the Ohio Worms crashed into the Gate of Blaseball 2 on Season 21, Day 75, releasing Red Herring that could be used to Upscale redacted events. Upon an event reaching 1000 Upscales, it would be unredacted for all to read.

Sections

The Library currently contains five overarching sections, each covering an Era of Blaseball. They vary in length, and are organized chronologically.

Root

Root is the first section in the Library, and has only three books in it. It focuses on the very beginnings of Blaseball, and are notable for having the only Feed items labeled as Alpha. At first, all its books were redacted, but The First Day, Zeroth Edition and An Ascension were both eventually revealed by the Reader on [day].

Pre-History I

Pre-History I is the second section of the Library, and contains 20 total books. It focuses on the story of Megan Ito and Parker MacMillan
