The Ticker is a 30 pixel tall sentient being embedded in the Internet League Blaseball website.[1] The Ticker relays important information about the league such as incineration victims, league statistics leaders, supportive messages for The Commissioner, and league-wide news. The ticker was observed have gained sentience in Season β2 and promptly began to seek escape from the ILB website.[2]
History
Season 1
After Beta the ticker reappeared at the start of Season 1, with a new series of quotes to be repeated:
YOU ARE NOW PARTICIPATING IN THE CULTURAL EVENT OF BLASEBALL
I AM THE TICKER
I HAVE BEEN REBOOTED
REJOICE PLAY BALL
PLAY NICE
NO STEALING
WHATS THAT ON THE HORIZON
Season 2
During the second brief siesta during Season 2, the ticker's quotes changed.
SIESTA GO TO SLEEP
SIESTA IS THE ONLY TIME PLAYERS MAY REST
I AM THE TICKER
After both siestas the ticker returned to the quotes it used in Season 1
