Season 1, the inaugural season of Internet League Blaseball, began on July 20, 2020. The regular season ended on July 24. The postseason and 1st Internet Series occurred on July 25.

Season 1 concluded with the Philly Pies sweeping the Chicago Firefighters in three games to win the first Internet Series championship title.

The "Return" of Blaseball

Internet League Blaseball first became observable on July 20, 2020, with the introduction of 20 teams across the Good League and Evil League. Official sources such as The Blaseball Beat refer to this as the "revival" of Blaseball, marking "the first Internet Series since the returned," confirming that Blaseball has always existed.

Hitting Boost	Give your players cups of Yes Plz coffee. This will boost your team's hitting by 10%.
Pitching Boost	Your pitchers each grow an extra finger. This will boost your team's pitching by 10%.
Max Out Hitter	This will max out the hitting stats of a random hitter on your team.
Max Out Pitcher	This will max out the hitting stats of a random pitcher on your team.
Steal Best Hitter	This will steal the highest rated hitter in the league to your team.
Steal Best Pitcher	This will steal the highest rated pitcher in the league to your team.
Randomize Players	Your five worst players will be sent into deep hypnosis, randomizing their stats.

Mystery Blessings

After Season 1 blessings were awarded, the umpire ump_chaff announced two more blessings that "happened at the same time as the regular election but were not officially part of said election." The umpire then stated, "I've added these transactions to the site as public knowledge."

• Mystery Defection blessed the Hawaii Fridays
  • Nagomi Mcdaniel mysteriously defected to the Hawaii Fridays. Nolanestophia Patterson swapped to the Tigers. There's still no clear answer for why this happened.
• Mystery Improvement blessed the Kansas City Breath Mints
  • Winnie Hess mysteriously improved to 2.5 stars after being traded from the Crabs to the Breath Mints. An investigation may be incoming.
