Divine Favor

Divine Favor refers to the ranked list used as a tiebreaker between teams who have identical regular season win records, for the purposes of qualifying for the postseason and for determining the order in which blessings are applied.

Overview

The Divine Favor rankings were first revealed by Ump Chaff following the conclusion of the Season 1 regular season. They were later adjusted once due to the Season 2 blessing Blood Sacrifice which blessed the Philly Pies. In Season 6, Divine Favor became visible on each team's page next to their current wins and losses, labeled Ties, and randomized at the start of every season.

Season 11 introduced two new Weather conditions, Black Hole and Sun 2, that can add games to a team's win-loss record. It was observed that team standings are based only on Win records, so Divine Favor is used to determine standings between teams with identical wins, even if their losses are not equal.
