Roster Changes

In Season 23, the Shoe Thieves experienced an incineration, a Reverb, a Fax, two Voicemails and a Thieves' Guild steal.

• On Day 26, Blood Hamburger was Shadow Faxed for Inky Rutledge.
  • This is the same swap as happened exactly a season earlier, on Season 22 Day 26.
• On Day 35, Velasquez Alstott was Voicemailed for Blood Hamburger.
• On Day 45, Tad Seeth was Voicemailed for Vernon Shotwell.
• On Day 81, the Pillar's Phantom Thieves Guild stole Rhys Rivera from the Shoe Thieves' Shadows.
• On Day 84, several players were shuffled in the Reverb. This resulted in Richardson Games pitching and Gunther O'Brian batting.
  • The Reverb consisted of three exchanges, all involving Stu Trololol.

    • Stu Trololol -> , Snyder Briggs -> (this had no effect on positions or rotation order)

Upon qualifying for the postseason, the Shoe Thieves earned Slosh Gulp as a postseason birth.

Notable Games

• On Day 3, Agan Harrison was turned Unstable by Silvaire Roadhouse, and survived an Eclipse game on Day 5.
• On Day 19, former Shoe Thief Ren Hunter was turned Unstable by Silvaire Roadhouse, Ren was Voicemailed in the Pies' Shadows on Day 25, right before an Eclipse game Day 26.
• On Day 41, the Shoe Thieves Shadows Faxed the Boston Flowers' Wade Howe for Dunn Keyes, then Dunn Keyes for Jenkins Ingram in the same game. An Equal Sun homerun from Lenny Spruce made the game go to extra inning, resulting in a new record combined score of 24 to 21.9.
• On Day 92, Snyder Briggs pitched a perfect game.
  • This would be the very last perfect game of the Expansion Era.
• Between Day 103 and Day 105, Richardson Games broke their Charitable Steel Chair of Intelligence by protecting the Seattle Garages from Consumer attacks.

The ILB Semi-Centennial

Following Day 117, the Semi-Centennial took place.

Former Shoe Thieves Gunther O'Brian, Tillman Henderson and James Nolan were pulled from the Hall of Flame and given  ReturnedAt the end of each season, this Player has a chance of being called back to the Void.
See also: Glossary to join the Rising Stars. The team also featured former Shoe Thieves Jaylen Hotdogfingers, then playing for the Boston Flowers. The opposing team, the Vault Legends, featured Goodwin Morin, who had been vaulted as a member of the Charleston Shoe Thieves.

During the game, Jaylen Hotdogfingers was approached and collected by the Legends during inning 6. Jaylen was then Artificially Forged, getting permanently Vaulted and moving to the Vault Legends roster in the process.
Lōotcrates, who was commentating the game, reacted with the message:

The same thing happened to Tillman Henderson during the 12th inning.
Lōotcrates reacted with a direct reference to the Noise-Cancelling Headphones from the Season 10 Elections.

After the explosion of Sun(Sun) in the 29th inning, the event was cancelled and the game immediately ended.

Members of the Rising Stars who weren't active in the ILB when they joined were randomly redistributed:

• Abbott Wright, Pre-History player for the Oregon Psychics, fell to the Charleston Shoe Thieves.
• Recently incinerated Gunther O’Brian fell to the San Francisco Lovers.
• James Nolan, Pre-History player for the Charleston Shoe Thieves, fell to the Seattle Garages.

All three of them kept their  Returned modification.
