Revision as of 09:39, 22 January 2022

In Season 9, the Seattle Garages finished third in the Mild League and fifth in the ILB. The Garages qualified for the postseason and were seeded 3rd. After eliminating the Philly Pies, the team was eliminated in turn by the Charleston Shoe Thieves, who would go on to win the title. The Garages experienced three feedback swaps during the season, this time due to Jaylen Hotdogfinger's permanent Flickering modification. In the Season 9 Election, the Garages won a three blessings, maximizing shadows member Goodwin Morin, relieving their two worst hitters and two worst pitchers with members of their shadows, and giving Theodore Duende Spicy, along with a hitter from each other team in the Mild High.

Season Overview

COMMUNITY REPORTS
The remainder of this article contains lore created collaboratively by the Blaseball community.

Refinancing

After she engulfed the league in flame during Season 7,  Debted Seattle Garages ace Jaylen Hotdogfingers searched for a solution to prevent it from happening again. The Microphone offered her a chance to make a deal.[2] As a result, Hotdogfingers'  Debt changed to  Refinanced Debt. While this change kept the rest of the league safe from incineration, the Garages were about to face the necromancy consequences they escaped the season before.

Breaking Up the Band

A bar graph depicting the Season 8 Garages wins over .500 across the entire season and postseason. We'll suck forever.

Season 8 was the most successful regular season by wins the Seattle Garages have ever seen and will ever see in the first two eras of Internet League Blaseball. It was also a season of change and sudden parting with a franchise record five feedback swaps thanks to Jaylen Hotdogfingers' newly refinanced debt, which now conferred  Flickering. Over the season, the band bid farewell to original roster members Lang Richardson and Allison Abbott, and longtime players Cedric Spliff and Farrell Seagull, fundamentally altering the small ball strategy the team had employed in previous seasons. In return, the band received Nolanestophia Patterson, capable base hitters Quack Enjoyable and Summers Pony, and Paula Mason, until she too was swapped for power hitter Paula Turnip. The constantly shifting roster somehow did not stop the band's meteoric rise, and they clinched a postseason appearance in record time. Unfortunately, dreams of a pennant were once again dashed when the Garages were swept by the Philly Pies in the first round of the playoffs.

New Kids

The Season 8 Election brought four blessings to the Seattle Garages, although their outcome had many wondering if some were really blessings after all. During the election, beloved Garages pitcher Ron Monstera was stabilized before being cruelly incinerated. To replace him, a bus arrived carrying the enigmatic extraterrestrial Durham Spaceman and a surprise extra pitcher, interdimensional visitor and DJ Lori Boston, who had accidentally signed up for the team.

  1. This blessing incorrectly targeted Garages lineup players rather than pitchers. When the mistake was discovered, the blessing displayed the text HOLD ON before revealing the next two trades.
