PsychoAcoustics is a Ballpark Modification that was first seen in the Season 14 Latesiesta. It is intrinsically involved with the events of the Second Wyatt Masoning.
Effects
When a game is played in a Ballpark with this modification during Feedback or Reverb weather, at the beginning of the game the PsychoAcoustics have a chance to Resonate, causing the Home team to copy one of the Away team's Team Modifications for the rest of the game. This includes modifications that concur effects the Home team would be normally unable to make use of at this time; for example, teams that were not yet in Party Time have Echoed the Party Time modification and had players party during that game.
History
Season 14
PsychoAcoustics was first seen as a possible Ballpark modification during the Season 14 Earlsiesta, where it was described as "Tune your Ballpark to a Localized Frequency to Echo your Opponents in Feedback and Reverb weathers." PsychoAcoustics was also described as granting a Modification labeled only as "-----".
13 Teams built the PsychoAcoustics Renovation at the Season 14 Latesiesta; the Baltimore Crabs would also later be granted the renovation due to a bug that had been exploited to grant some players infinite wealth, which had been used to manipulate the voting results for Renovations for multiple teams.
At the Season 14 Latesiesta, every team that had chosen to build PsychoAcoustics was given three additional messages in the Renovations feed: "[TEAM] tune [BALLPARK] for PsychoAcoustics.", "Wyatt Mason [#] was pulled through the Rift." and "Wyatt Mason [#] Localized into the [TEAM]'s lineup/rotation." This event is otherwise known as the Second Wyatt Masoning, and thirteen Wyatts Mason were generated at this time. Due to the Baltimore Crabs having their PsychoAcoustics built at a later point, despite fourteen existing copies of PsychoAcoustics in Internet League Blaseball, there was no Wyatt Mason XIV generated.
The first recorded activation of PsychoAcoustics occurred on Season 14, Day 78, when The Pocket's PsychoAcoustics began Resonating, Echoing a copy of Life of the Party from the Miami Dale to the Breckenridge Jazz Hands for the duration of the game. This was also the game in which Wyatt Mason II Echoed Wyatt Mason V into Static.
Ballpark Additions
PsychoAcoustics was tuned:
- In the Season 14 Latesiesta by the Lift, Jazz Hands, Georgias, Tacos, Dale, Flowers, Sunbeams, Worms, Millennials, Garages, Mechanics, Shoe Thieves, and Breath Mints
- On Season 14, Day 81 by the Baltimore Crabs
