Miguel James is a pitcher for the Hellmouth Sunbeams. James has been with the Sunbeams since the Return of Blaseball.
Official League Records
James joined the ILB as a pitcher for the Moab Sunbeams with the Return of Blaseball.
During the Season 6 elections the Sunbeams received the Move the Mounds Closer blessing, which increased James' pitching from to .
On Season 7, Day 74, James' baserunning ability was siphoned by Baltimore Crabs lineup player Tillman Henderson in a game with Blooddrain weather, dropping it from ★★★½ to ★★½. During the Season 7 elections the Sunbeams received the Stickum blessing, which randomized James' defense from ★★★ to ★½ .
During the Season 9 elections the Sunbeams received the Mutually Arising blessing, which increased James' baserunning and defense by .
During the Season 10 elections the Sunbeams received the Sharing Signs blessing, which decreased James' pitching, bringing it to .
During the Coffee Cup, James played for Royal PoS as a pitcher.

History

Personal Life
Miguel James finds success thanks to her "forbidden second", in which everyone collectively blacks out during his pitch windup. Team officials have described James's pitching motion as "like cracking an egg with chopsticks".
James is a self-taught textile engineer, who learned the skill as part of his quest to find a fireproof hat. He still regularly hand-sews the Sunbeams logo onto his hat, as he has yet to find a sufficiently fireproof applique and the logos keep burning off. In the offseason, he teaches fashion design courses at Hellmouth Community Collge.
James has one of the finest collections of (regrettably flammable) hats in the Immaterial Plane. Much of his collection predates his Adaptation into a humanoid fireball. Her instaglam, as of the time of writing this article, has 7 followers.

Trivia
- One of James’s many hobbies is trying to do kickflips and failing. Oliver Mueller has offered to teach her, but she refuses everytime.
- James has a large immediate family, all living in Hellmouth. Despite them all having the same last name and being active members of the community, it took until Season 10 for the rest of the team to work this out.
- If James signs any denomination of bill, that bill is now worth five dollars. James frequently attempts to use this to get out of sticky situations (keyword being attempts).
- The current total cost of items Miguel has borrowed from Iggy Delacruz and then lost is 237 dollars and 70 cents. It is unknown what Delacruz intends to do with this endlessly growing tab.
- James, due to a misunderstanding of their name, once attempted to fight the entirety of the Chicago Firefighters in the parking lot of an IHOLP.
- Since the opening of the Hellmouth, James has thrown 13 cell phones (11 his own, 2 other), 2 shoes (both left), and a framed photo of himself into the mouth. It is unknown if this is the beginnings of an elaborate performance art piece, or poor impulse control.
- The Seven-Helleven sells a flavor of Slurpee named after Miguel, called “Flame-gos of Mangos.” The flavor is similar to Mango Chili Lime, with the special feature that, despite being frozen, it will always burn your tongue upon consumption.
- James is banned from most national parks, and is personally responsible for the popular slogan, “Only you can stop forest fires, Miguel James, you specifically, and you can do it by not visiting this park.”
- James’s exact height is hard to record, due to the fluctuation of the flames, but it can be firmly placed in the “short king” range.
- James can pitch, and is so, so good at it, and everyone loves it when she does, and loves to watch the good pitching.
