COMMUNITY REPORTS
The remainder of this article contains lore created collaboratively by the Blaseball community.

A capable batter for the Garages, Bennett Browning was also a spoons player for the Seattle Garages Jelly Jamboree. He made his debut for the Garages a week after Tifelli's Traveling Animal Circus passed through town, inspiring a number of conflicting rumors about his status as a bear.

Hailing from the Grove, Bennett Browning left his home when Tifelli's Traveling Animal Circus recruited him as a performer. His unpleasant experiences there left him with a “no gods, no masters” attitude, and with the help of a few Lil’ Roadies, he managed to escape the circus.

Wanting to join the Seattle Garages, he asked the roadies to introduce him, and Theodore Duende, desperately needing to fill an empty spot in the lineup, welcomed him onto the team. When asked about how a bear would play blaseball, Duende was quoted as saying, “He did do all the paperwork” with a shrug. The official stance of the Seattle Garages Blaseball team is that Bennett Browning is a normal human blaseball player and in no way whatsoever a bear.

Browning was well-liked among the Garages. After joining the team, Browning returned to the Grove and found a new den to settle into with the help of Fairwood Patchwork, securing their friendship. He was a regular guest on Shaquille Torres’s streams, and Lang Richardson attempted (and failed) many times to rope him into his stage productions. His cuddles and bear hugs were beloved by almost everyone.

However, Mike Townsend did not get along with Browning, as Browning was often caught stealing berries for Townsend’s pies, or even the pies themselves. Additionally, Browning’s lack of understanding of personal space due to being a bear often invited complaints.

Browning’s death sparked the Garages’ effort to truly come together as a team, opening up conversations about communication and how to better cohabitate.

In the Hall of Flame, Ruffian Applesauce taught Browning DownSL, sign language developed by the Core Mechanics for those with paws. After reuniting with the team in Season β24, he joined the hiking club with Penelope Mathews, Lenjamin Zhuge, and Theodore Duende over the siesta. He can also often be seen swimming in the Salmon Spire with Zhuge and Alaynabella Hollywood.

Rumors Surrounding Bennett Browning

Roadies, fans, and even the Garages themselves take pleasure in making up and spreading new rumors about Browning. As time has gone on, everyone has done their best to keep the goofs alive in his name.

This time, the Interdimensional Rumor Mill reveals a Bear Rumor from IF-41.849 out of its Bear Rumor Registry...

Browning is just a grizzly bear in disguise. Evidence supporting this theory includes an audit of the Garage's catering budget noting an entry for 90 pounds of salmon per day adding more weight to the theory. Fans of the team, however, have pointed to Browning's (shaggy, clawed) opposable thumbs and ability to wear pants as evidence that he is, in fact, just a regular guy.
