History

COMMUNITY REPORTS
The remainder of this article contains lore created collaboratively by the Blaseball community.

Origins

While on the Canada Moist Talkers, Enjoyable never left the side of Kiki Familia, being her faithful familiar companion. When she was incinerated by a rogue umpire, Enjoyable flew onto the field, picked up her bat, and began playing in her stead. They hit balls, ran their bases, and fielded, as any good blaseball player does. One oddity was they refused to use any bat that wasn't the one Kiki Familia left behind. Any attempts to take the bat away was met with angry honks and much biting.

The Flickering

When Seattle Garages pitching star, Jaylen Hotdogfingers, accidentally struck Enjoyable with a pitch, they found themselves changed. Something about being hit by Hotdogfingers' cursed ball knocked loose something else, deep within them. Seeking answers for this, they headed over to the dugout of the Garages shortly thereafter.

Career with the Seattle Garages

In their first plate appearance for the Garages, while wielding Kiki Familia's bat, a flash of light enveloped them, transforming them from a duck into an anthropomorphic duck-person. Upon their first time transforming, Enjoyable was startled enough to drop the bat, at which point they reverted back to their usual duck form. This revealed the first rule of their newfound transformation: They can only sustain their anthropomorphic form while holding the magical bat.

In the time since, Enjoyable's career with Seattle has been fruitful; Enjoyable has trained both with and without the use of his anthropomorphic form, though they have since gotten comfortable enough with the transformation that holding onto the bat is not required to sustain the transformation, and may merely have it on their person while they wish to remain transformed. Additionally, Enjoyable has since manifested magical abilities of his own, able to summon a small team of labrador ducks that can assist in menial tasks - primarily helping pitcher Mike Townsend in his stadium-located bakery. Enjoyable is the member of the team credited with first being able to identify Mike Townsend during his first time within the Shadows after the resurrection of Jaylen Hotdogfingers, and the two have a strong rapport as a result. Enjoyable can often be found in the bakery, assisting Townsend and Betsy Trombone in their baking endeavors. They are only allowed to sample their wares while in anthro form, as bread is bad for common ducks.

Enjoyable also developed a strong-rapport with former Garages lineup player Greer Gwiffin. Rumors of Gwiffin's own shapeshifting ability have resulted in Enjoyable seeking them out for help with managing multiple forms, and teammates have since remarked that Gwiffin seems to see himself as a mentor for Enjoyable.

Enjoyable was in the process of developing a strong rivalry with Hellmouth Sunbeams player Sutton Bishop both on and off the field, seemingly as a result of both similar origins and shared interests. When news of Sutton Bishop's incineration reached Quack Enjoyable, he was noted to have taken the news "particularly hard, as if he had lost something beyond a friend and rival."

While often seen at the local café run by fellow Garages player Sparks Beans, the most common form of identifying Enjoyable throughout Seattle can be seen through his various fans participating in "Quackspotting", in which they use various birdspotting apps to identify where Enjoyable has decided to sleep for the day. Fans have noticed a particular affinity for the various waters of Puget Sound, with a vast majority of the 'confirmed' appearances of him off the field documented off the local piers.

Outside of Blaseball, Enjoyable has one of the stronger media presences on the team, active on many social platforms with the help of shadowed Garages pitcher Lori Boston, and is a noted variety streamer who specializes in speedrunning, particularly while in their duck form. Enjoyable often uses his platform to be outspoken about environmental activism, using his influencer status to highlight local environmental causes worth championing.
