Predominantly a chapman stick player and batter for the Seattle Garages, Mueller wears the influences of his childhood on his sleeve - predominantly both the street skating cultural phenomenon and the third-wave ska music scene of the late 80s and 90s. Mueller has replaced the traditional Seattle Garages waist-tied flannel with a checkerboard flannel shirt of his own, and has been seen dressing in various Seattle Garages-themed button-down shirts in lieu of his official jersey, and many players have taken to putting forth a betting pool on what outfit Mueller will come into the dugout wearing on any given day.

Mueller is both a skate punk and a ska punk, and as such uses a long board to bat and skates around the bases. Instead of wearing the typical flannel around the waist Mueller has a black and white checkered shirt.

Mueller is often seen coming to the plate with guitar-bat in hand and board strapped to his back, and has more than once used his own personal skateboard to traverse the bases, preferring to use it in lieu of running the bases the traditional way. Oliver 'Ollie' Mueller has always been considered eclectic, even by the standards of the Seattle Garages blaseball team and band.

Mueller is often seen coming to the plate with guitar-bat in hand and board strapped to his back, and has more than once used his own personal skateboard to traverse the bases, preferring to use it in lieu of running the bases the traditional way. He is enthusiastic, almost to the point of excess, about these hobbies, encouraging many of the newer, more animal-like members of the team, such as Quack Enjoyable, to take up the hobby.

His love for third-wave ska and the genre as a whole have had a distinct influence on Seattle's soundscape in their albums. He formed fast friends with Farrell Seagull during her time on the Garages, as her ability to play the trumpet was, in his own words 'real mean'. He has since enkindled a love of the genre in pitcher Betsy Trombone, whose Season 9 to Seattle has stoked a rekindling of ska sound that has been absent since Seagull's departure to Philadelphia at the end of Season 8. During Season 9 and 10, Mueller was the biggest proponent to teaching Summers Pony how to play the saxophone. Despite all who thought it to be a fruitless endeavor, Pony made their saxophone debut at the end of Season 10, proving the effectiveness of Mueller’s encouragement.

Mueller's energetic nature and enthusiasm have made him a favorite with the various children, having been claimed as the favorite player of the Seattle Garages Lil' Roadies, a group of children taking their inspiration from the blaseball team. Not wanting to be seen as a bad mentor, Oliver Mueller has claimed an abandoned Seattle park as '1312 Skate Park' and used it as a place to help the children practice and play between games.

Mueller is a known activist, teaming up with teammate Paula Turnip to liberate food that was going to go to waste from upscale grocery stores and bougie restaurants in the area. Rumors suggest some of this food ends up being used by the restaurants in the Seattle Shadows Co-op, but Mike Townsend and Terrell Bradley refused to answer questions on the matter.

The homonculus known as Dudley Mueller imprinted upon Oliver Mueller upon its manifestation on Day 2, Season 3, following the incineration of Rhys Trombone.

Mueller also co-owns a microbrewery, which he often gives free samples of to various members of the team. His handiwork includes the 'Hand Signals' IPA as well as the 'Pitch Blank' chili porter, both of which are available as concessions within The Big Garage.
