Official League Records

Barajas was a league leader in stolen bases in Season 2, along with their teammate Sutton Picklestein, both scoring 12 steals.

During a game against the New York Millennials on Season β5, Day 37, Barajas swallowed a peanut and had an allergic reaction which halved all of their star ratings.

During the Season β5 election, Barajas's baserunning fell half a star as a part of the Charleston Shoe Thieves' Bad Neighbors blessing.

Barajas was attacked by Consumers during a Season β14 playoffs game against the Canada Moist Talkers. Their combined stars dropped from 8.8 to 5.6 as a result.

During the Season β14 election, Barajas retreated to the Magic's Shadows in exchange for Wyatt Glover as a result of the Magic's Foreshadow Will, becoming a pitcher in the process.

During the Season β19 elections, Barajas' pitching increased from 2.3 3.9 as a result of the Magic's Shadow Infuse will.

On Season β21, Day 81, Barajas joined the Magic's lineup in exchange for Logan Rodriguez at the Yellowstone National (Ball)Park via the Ratified Voicemail.

During the Season β22 elections, Barajas gained the Negative modification as a result of the Roster Flip blessing.

During the December 23, 2022 Fall Ball, Barajas fell to the Charleston Shoe Thieves.

Box of Washer Barajas Files

Dust billows as the file box lands on the table. While many archives in the Interdimensional Rumor Mill are unified in some way, this... definitely isn’t one of them. The accompanying Rumor Registry explains all of the contents... wherever it is... but for now you grab the folder labelled IF-21.581 and start reading...

Play It, Don't Spray It

Washer is observed as a bat and hat caught in the waters of a geyser within the Park. The bat fell in naturally, the hat was added by Merlinmeyer after the geyser hit a triple, officially drafting it into the Magic.

After several fans tried to recreate this incident, the Park Service was forced to amend warning signs throughout the park. They now read, "Please do not throw anything into the natural features of our amazing park, not even blaseball bats. We assure you that the creation of star hitter Washer Barajas is an isolated incident that cannot be replicated."

Not long after Penelope "Lucky Penny" Mathews left the team due to a feedback swap, a fan tossed a coin into Washer to make a wish. While this practice is not uncommon (though it is strictly discouraged), usually coins are quickly ejected - but this coin was caught in Wash and remains in their geyser, spinning infinitely. Local Parkpark hedge witches theorized that as it does so, it collects infinite wish energy. Fans have taken this as a sign that Penny's lucky spirit is still with them. The hedge witches remind fans that Penny is not dead, just in New York, and warn that if the coin were ever to land, the resulting expulsion of wish energy could be catastrophic.

On Season 5, Day 37, a single, stray peanut flew into Barajas's mouth, provoking a severe, previously undisclosed allergic reaction, leading the team's healers to rush onto the field. The crowd fell silent as officials huddled around the unresponsive geyser until, with a gurgling choke, Barajas began spewing thousands of peanuts into the air. This phenomenon has yet to stop, and now anytime Barajas erupts—gey's waterspout only reaches about half the height of its usual eruptions, and along with it comes an endless stream of peanut. Barajas seems just as confused and uncomfortable about it as everyone else. Splorts fans who have dared to eat any of the peanuts showered onto them by the geyser report a distinctly acrid but otherwise delicious taste.

Park rangers are baffled by the event. One was quoted saying, "From what we can tell the original peanut is still stuck in there, and for some reason it seems to be multiplying like, forever. We're still trying to figure out how to get the original peanut dislodged, but there are a lot of park regulations surrounding this kind of thing. Anyway, we hope we'll get to see Washer erupt at full height again someday. Get well soon, buddy."
