Rumor has it a spirit rose out of Lake Waiau, a figure with a deep connection to the water and the islands of Hawai‘i. Standing tall and strong, the spirit has long flowing hair with pinks and white blending together. Flowers and vines grow out of her, weaving in and around her body. Some even say they came out of the lake holding a bat and ball. That was the birth of Cordula Standlake.
