Personal Life

Hypothetically born on August 19th, year unknown, Delacruz claims to have been on the team before the change in location, though none of the other players can remember what form they took back on the surface. At the same time, everyone remembers.

The version of Igneus Delacruz who appeared from the alternate reality swap goes by "Iggy," and comes from an alternate universe where there was never a Moab desert. Though, come to think of it, no one can quite remember a Moab desert in our universe either.

During Season 2, on day 47, teammates Malik Romayne and Delacruz were married during a game.

Many fans are fervent in their belief that Delacruz is, in fact, the hottest member of the Hellmouth Sunbeams.

Education

Delacruz studied Wildlife Management at Hellmouth Community College. His education came in handy when a wolf got loose in the locker room snack area. The Wolf Snack incident ended when Delacruz befriended the wolf, and subsequently ate it. Of the event, Delacruz said that they would not have eaten the wolf if only it hadn't eaten all of the Lemon Cake Batter protein bars. They have been known to wear booty shorts with the words "Hellmouth Community College" on the back.

Career

Delacruz is known for their flashy way of fielding ground balls, which involves an ember-style summoning rune burned into the palm of their blaseball claw. They achieved little success in the Moab, but since the descent into the Hellmouth their play has improved. Delacruz is a dangerous and sly outfielder, able to play either left or right field, but never, ever center.

In Delacruz's second or third or fourth season with the Sunbeams they began to struggle with one of their throwing arms. As it is impossible to know when Delacruz started playing blaseball (or even when the sport even came into existence), the exact date of her shoulder surgery cannot be pinpointed. All that is known is that their lower left (or right, that arm seems to shift positions in unfathomable ways) was repaired with a combination of arcane magicks and the surgical talents of a very famous and very suspicious sports doctor.

During spring training for the "first" season, Delacruz spent time under the tutelage of legendary batting coach Determination Montgomery. With this help, Delacruz was able to bring their pre-season post-batting mid-average up from -.120 to a cool .237. The Hellmouth Tribune reported that Montgomery was so moved by the effort Igneus put forth that she gave Delacruz a half-star from her own rating.
