History

Background

An unknowable being bound in physical form, it was prophesied that one day Hendricks would ████ ██████ █████ ████ and ██████ ████ ██████, a fabled ten star player.

Rangel referred to the unknowable being bound in physical form as Coach Mike. He insisted that the unknowable being bound in physical form was the first base coach and an angel.

Incineration and Transformation

During a solar eclipse, a rogue umpire incinerated Rangel's mortal cage, unleashing his natural form like an extraplanar butterfly emerging from its flaming chrysalis. The energy released by his transformation threatened to destroy the entire Sovereign Nation of Hawai'i and cause a tsunami which would devastate the mainland, but disaster was averted when fellow Fridays batter Sebastian Sunshine intervened. Sebastian absorbed the force of the explosion and dissipated into nothingness, saving the lives of the remaining players and fans. Incineration is the only way out.
