History

Elena Elliott first got the nickname “Yummy” when she was a small child. Too young to understand the difference between the letters “ll” in English and Spanish, she mispronounced her surname as “Eh-yum,” and the name stuck with her as she developed a love of food and cooking. When ze opened zir own bakery in her early 20s, Elliot began to use the name in a more official capacity for marketing purposes- “Everything’s Yummy at Yummy’s!”

Although Yummy is indeed an excellent chef, you wouldn’t expect it from zir own dining habits. She has a tendency to use her unusually sharp teeth to eat anything she can fit in her mouth, including normally inedible things such as wood, blaseballs, broken electronics, the concept of light, and spicy milk. Despite the normally harmful qualities of ingesting such items, Yummy has exhibited no ill effects from doing so, even describing several of them as “delicious.” Ze seems to be aware that this is atypical, as ze does not incorporate such items into dishes meant for others.

Elliott was ecstatic when she received the offer to be the official caterer of Al Pastor Memorial Park. Ever since Los Angeli went infinite, there were an infinite amount of eateries for people to choose from, and Yummy’s had gotten lost in the shuffle- this was the perfect opportunity to get her name out there. As excited as ze was, ze didn't take the time to fully read the contract Al Pastor handed zir before signing it- especially not the part where ze was able to be recruited as a reserve player if the team needed one.

On the Unlimited Tacos

When Yummy joined the tacos in place of Peanut Bong in Season 13, she acclimated herself into the team’s social structure remarkably quickly. Some attribute this to a latent telepathic effect granted by her Psychic blood, but this is as yet unconfirmed. When questioned, Yummy stated, “I’m just good at picking up on vibes, you know?” Frequently, Yummy can be sighted preparing meals for zir teammates, oftentimes serving them exactly what they want before they even ask. Ze has also been seen spending time with teammate Valentine Games, tutoring them in Spanish and eating blaseballs together. When asked his opinion on the team’s most recent addition, Basilio Mason had the following to say: “Cargo jorts. Not Cargo shorts, Cargo jorts. Together with a crop top she got on clearance at Hot Tlopic. I’ve always said there’s no thing as a hopeless case when it comes to fashion but she definitely comes close.”

Yummy spends zir time between and before matches, when not working at her bakery, reading comic books. She has claimed that ze “learned how to pitch from a comic book.” Evidently, ze has an eye for Blaseball comics, using them as entertainment and as textbooks on the subject.

She has gone on record stating that she has psychic powers, but the exact nature of these is yet unclear. On one correspondence, ze stated, “I somehow don't think that I'm allowed to use my psychic powers to fling a ball at hundreds of miles an hour,” which brings into question whether her psychic abilities extend to telekinesis as well as mind-reading.

Yummy’s pitching was a key factor in securing the Tacos their first Wild League Championship in Season 13. Although disappointed that the Crabs defeated them in the Internet Series, Yummy stated that ze had come up with some new ideas for seafood dishes during the experience.
