COMMUNITY REPORTS
The remainder of this article contains lore created collaboratively by the Blaseball community.

History

Background

Sam Solis was actually "Sam" and "Solis", a unique pitching duo for the Hawaii Fridays. Coming to the mound together, they avoided the rules against having too many players on the field by pitching each other instead of just the ball (thus having the second pitcher always in the air and never actually touching the field). They do not have any known last names. They often finished each others' sentences and are rarely seen apart.

Fan Theories

Fan theories abound about Sam and Solis. Some think Sam and Solis are fraternal twins. Others think Sam and Solis are actually the same person from different segments of the eternal island time caused by Our Lady of Perpetual Friday. When asked about their relationship, Sam said "Hey, can't you just..." and Solis said "...chill with that?" Notably, Solis was in a different room at the time.

Retirement

Solis accidentally let a pinky toe touch the ground and they were called for too many players on the field. Solis was incinerated, and inexplicably, Sam was incinerated simultaneously despite being in two different locations.
