Beck Whitney is a batter for the Miami Dale. Whitney has been with the Dale since Season 6, Day 80 after replacing Hahn Fox due to Feedback. Whitney joined the ILB as a batter and coach for the Boston Flowers in Season 1.

Official League Records

Beck ate a stray peanut and had a yummy reaction during Season 3, increasing her rating from 3 stars to 4 stars.

On Season 8, Day 94, a rogue umpire attempted to incinerate Whitney, who was fireproof thanks to fellow Dale hitter Raúl Leal holding the Iffey Jr. The attack was redirected back to the umpire, who was incinerated in the first known instance of an umpire death since the start of Internet League Blaseball.

COMMUNITY REPORTS
The remainder of this article contains lore created collaboratively by the Blaseball community.

History

Background

Known for her "roll with the plunches" attitude, Beck is respected for her wisdom both on and off the field. Though she began as a player on the Boston Flowers, she was quickly promoted to coach for the team when the previous coach disappeared in the middle of a game, and Beck was the only player who remembered how to play the game. After winning the match through a miraculous comeback, the Flowers decided that Beck should remain as coach for the foreseeable future.

Beck has been frequently seen both on and off the field with fellow Flowers player Caligula Lotus. When asked about a potential relationship, A flustered Beck declined to respond, but did comment that "Cali keeps the sun off me when we stand next to each other."

After the events of Season 4, Days 54-59 (Vito Kravitz's feedback swap, Hotbox Sato's feedback swap, and Matheo Carpenter's incineration), Beck's friend Combs Duende helped her calm down by talking her through it and braiding her hair in a milkmaid braid. After Combs's incineration on Season 4, Day 63, she decided to keep this hairstyle in memory of her friend.

Electric Blood Transformation

The following article appeared in several local Miami newspapers following the events of Season 7.

Does Electric Blood Power A New Resolve?

Byline: Miami Gerald

Many in our fair city wondered about the effect of the Dale's "Closed Circuit" Season 7 Blessing. What would electric blood do to a team that that is already amped up? Would they glow more brightly, or overload and blow a fuse?

One player the Blessing seems to have had an invigorating effect on is Beck Whitney. As a vampire who now has electric blood, many speculate that she can literally feed on Miami's energy. The change seems to have had positive results. Previously known to be somewhat melancholic since joining the Dale, in recent weeks Whitney has taken to making more public appearances, and even attending late night raves with teammates Caleb Novak, Avila Guzman, Cannonball Sports, and Sixpack Santiago, with living soundwave Raúl Leal often serving as both sound system and DJ.

This reporter managed to catch Whitney for comment at one of Miami's most exclusive local nightclubs. "The energy is just so powerful here," she said. "I'll never forget where I came from, never ever, but the future can be exciting, too. You might say I've been getting a real...CHARGE...out of things lately!"

With that, Whitney pushed a button that made smiley LED faces with fangs appear on the lenses of her oversized novelty sunglasses, and disappeared into the smoke of the dance floor.
