Backpatch Rolsenthal is a player in the Shadows for the Boston Flowers, and has been with the team since Season 22, Day 19.

Official League Records

Rolsenthal joined the ILB as a pitcher for the Boston Flowers on Season 22, Day 19 after the incineration of Brock Forbes.

On Season 22, Day 88, Rolsenthal retreated to the Flowers' Shadows in exchange for Dunn Keyes via the Boston Garden's Fax Machine.

Appearance

Rolsenthal is a large humanoid mecha, with roses growing all over it. They use any pronouns. They were discovered broken down and hibernating in a distant corner of the Garden by Jaylen Hotdogfingers and Dunn Keyes, who used their knowledge of robotics to repair her. Soon after ey came back online, it witnessed Brock Forbes’ incineration, and volunteered to join the team in his place. When they were on the team, they became friends with Jaylen and Dunn, bonding over robotics. They also helped Rolsenthal to find hir place on the team.

A cat named Cog lives in Rolsenthal’s cockpit, and is often assumed to be the pilot of the mecha by other players. Cog likes to sit on the controls, which throws off Rolsenthal's pitching aim considerably. Boston’s dimensional rifts cause Cog’s appearance to change frequently, with some observers reporting a fluffy grey cat, and others a ginger cat.

Rolsenthal does not know where it came from or how she ended up in the depths of The Garden, powered off for who knows how long. He does know, however, that Cog is xir best friend, and always has been.

When in the Shadows, Rolsenthal spends her time chatting to Dunn Keyes, if she is there, or attempting to repair their mechanics (which Cog promptly breaks).
