Continuing into Season 2, the Moist Talkers suffered from a single incineration which saw hitter Trevino Merritt replaced by Simon Haley, and their performance improved to take them to the top team in their division.

Despite this success, their postseason dreams were dashed by the Philly Pies, who defeated the Moist Talkers 3-0 in Round 1 of the playoffs, eventually winning the Internet Series. Things weren't all horrible, as during the election, the Moist Talkers stole star pitcher PolkaDot Patterson from the Baltimore Crabs, significantly improving the team's pitching.
