History

Background

Clem “McBaseball” Clembons (April 1, 1897 - ) was an American pitcher in Negro League Baseball. Clembons played for the I-dia-apo-is-Ci-ci--a-i C-ow-s. Clembons had an average career in the league until their sudden disappearance. Clembons was last seen in Van Nuys, California for an exhibition match in 1931, and has not been seen since.

On the Immaterial Plane

It is unclear as to how McBaseball Clembons came to join the LA Unlimited Tacos. Wyatt Mason IV just noticed them one day by the fax machine in the bullpen. Upon introductions, Clembons had indicated that this was the thousandth time they have introduced themselves to the team. No one on the Tacos is aware of these previous introductions.

Clembons, when remembered, is known for talking so much about “Baseball” that their teammates have started calling them McBaseball. This is not their name, their name is Clem Clembons. Clembons' remarkable pitching talent comes from their ability to throw an eephus curveball, a very unremarkable pitch in the material plane, but with no additional special abilities, this is a standout pitch in the ILB.

Perception Issues

Because of Clembons' origins in the Material Plane, teammates have had issues with perceiving and remembering them. Descriptions of Clembons have included having an afterimage of their past and present, as well as being seen as three separate color channels. Players not initially from the Immaterial Plane, such as Wyatt Mason IV and some Alternates in the league have not had these issues. Others have likened Clembons’ appearance to “the sky during the Grand Unslam”.
