Official League Records

Tokkan joined the ILB as a pitcher in the Shadows for the Philly Pies as the Pies' Season 12 Playoff Birth.

On Season 20, Day 21, Tokkan joined the Pies' active roster in exchange for Tiana Takahashi as a result of Tastycake Stadium's Fax Machine. On Day 51, Tokkan retreated to the Shadows in exchange for Henry Marshallow via the Fax Machine.

On Season 21, Day 17, Tokkan rejoined the Pies' active roster in exchange for Beans McBlase via Tastycake Stadium's Fax Machine.

Lucy Tokkan: Forget a Star, She’s a Sun(Sun)!

Lucifer “Lucy” Tokkan is a 1940s Hollywood star pitching for the Philly Pies in preparation for her upcoming role in the Blaseball Mlajor Mlotion Plicture. From vaudeville to the silver screen and now to the blaseball field! Is there nothing that stunning starlet Lucy Tokkan can’t do?!

Rise to Fame

Growing up in Hockessin, Delaware, little Lucy always knew she was destined to have her name written up on the marquee in bright lights. She made her acting debut on the Delaware vaudeville circuit, charming audiences from across the mid-atlantic. Yet this stage wasn’t nearly big enough to contain Tokkan’s starpower, and as soon as she was old enough, she hopped a train out west, heading for that city of dreams: Hollywood, California.

With her good looks and glamorous charm, it wasn’t long before Lucy found herself cast in a major motion picture. Her turn as the lovelorn Yolanda in Midnights of the Clockwoman had movie-goers weeping in the aisles and critics raving in the streets. Her follow-up role playing a struggling urban explorer mother alongside child actor Morrow Wilson in Sweet Turnip in Savannah netted Lucy her first Olscar nomination. Further star turns in such classic films as Turn Back the Clock, Wise is the Midday Sun, and Midnights of the Clockwoman 2: Yolanda’s Revenge cemented Tokkan as one of film industry’s biggest stars.

Despite currently being 35, Lucy dresses and acts as if she is from the golden age of Hollywood. She wears slim 1940s dresses, carries long-stemmed cigarette holders, and calls most everyone “Dah-ling.” To some she appears grayscale, but most believe that it’s a trick of the light in the strangely lit Tastykake Stadium. Fans have long theorized that she somehow time-traveled from the past, but her friends insist that her anachronistic mannerisms are merely “commitment to her aesthetic.”

Joining the Pies

Tokkan’s first exposure to the Philly Pies came during the 20XX Emmy Awards where she witnessed a 36 minute acceptance speech delivered by Ruslan Greatness for his titular sitcom My Roomie Ruslan. Notably, My Roomie Ruslan did not receive any Emmys, nor was it nominated for any. Tokkan, after having won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Dr. Andrea McCoy in Horse Hospital, met with Greatness at an after-party to discuss her recent audition for a heretofore unknown role in an upcoming Blaseball film. Tokkan refuses to publicly reveal who she will be playing, but many fans speculate either Jessica Telephone or Jaylen Hotdogfingers. A visibly intoxicated Greatness gave Tokkan an open invitation to come play for the Pies to research for the role. After officially being cast months later, Tokkan visited Tastykake Stadium in a personally tailored Pies uniform, ready to begin her professional career.

Ironically, Tokkan officially joined the Pies by complete accident. When invited by director Eduardo Woodman to guest star on an episode of My Roomie Ruslan, Tokkan flew out to Philadelphia to film the episode after Season 20 Day 21’s game against the Baltimore Crabs. When she arrived her car was accidentally rerouted to Tastykake stadium where she was escorted to the Pie’s locker room. The cause of the rerouting is unknown, with fan theories ranging from simple (the whimsy of the Philling, the inherent chaos of Philadelphia) to the complex (GPS bugs, scheduling error). Once inside the locker room, Tokkan, thirsty from the flight, drank from a leftover can of SKATE JUICE. Doing so made her eligible to join the team as the Pies rules state ██████ ███ █████ ███████ in Non-Physical Law. The fax machine activated, spitting out her name and swapping her instantly with Pie’s pitcher Tiana Takahashi. In the confusion, Tokkan began pitching and proved to be surprisingly talented at distracting batters with small talk. Woodman met with management and they decided that rather than try to un-ratify Non Physical Law, it was better off to just keep Tokkan on the team.

Time on the Pies

Tokkan’s pitching style has been described as “deliberate,” “dazzling,” and “self-indulgent.” What Tokkan lacks in athletic experience she makes up for with her natural ability to captivate, and therefore distract, batters. She is known across the league for her dramatic wind-ups, sometimes taking ten minutes to throw a single pitch. Tokkan also regularly makes small talk with players she pitches against, especially those considered to be conventionally attractive.

Despite her superstar status and innate radiance, Lucy Tokkan has made an effort to fit in with the more earthy Pies. Eduardo Woodman was noticeably starstruck by her unexpected appearance on the roster and after what an anonymous teammate described as “a genuinely pathetic attempt to pull himself together,” he introduced himself to Tokkan as her biggest fan. Always happy to hear her work appreciated, Tokkan frequently chats with Woodman about her on-set experiences. Woodman has begun to host bi-weekly “Pies Movie Nights” inside the ballpark to make sure the team has seen all of Lucy Tokkan's filmography.

Pies batter and infamous theater kid Lang Richardson is known to have a contentious relationship with Tokkan. A self described theater purist, Richardson has expressed strong opinions in Tokkan's prescence about the artistic value of film compared to theater. This has led Tokkan to only refer to Richardson as “you there” or “the boy with the teeth.” In interviews, Pitcher Henry Marshallow has revealed the existence of a prank war between Tokkan and Richardson, referring cryptically to “beavers in the locker room” and “the flash paper incident.”

Despite being a far cry from her glamorous Hollywood lifestyle, Tokkan has expressed an enjoyment of the city of Philadelphia, especially The Oven. She is a frequenter of the Piebrary and has made it her personal goal to cook each cherry pie recipe at least once. Although it is unknown when filming for Blaseball: the Mlajor Mlotion Plicture begins, Tokkan has expressed interest in staying on the team even after its production.
