Please Enjoy A Selected Poem By Valentine Games

Farewell to August
I.
eke out more stars
(sweat blood and bone)
so you stand above the rest - then
let the jazz hands catch you

II.
so i say
ad nauseum
"we are all replaceable parts
in a broken machine"

but!
august - we were here
your pitching the call
the melody

our defense the response
orchestral swell

III.
hands clasped
in victory

a chorus line howling
"fuck the moisties"
"those guys are truly the worst"
