to be found here or there

or on the way out?

thomas is flickering his light

on and off again - only a thin curtain

separates one domain from another.

we putter, we pretend. drip. drip.

ignore it. nothing more natural than

the flow of water carving out time

and mixing itself into turbulent newness

but where it goes, and when

is increasingly a matter of design

so when schneider says "val, pass me

the pipe wrench-" well it's increasingly

hard to pretend i can't hear them
