Yurts Buttercup is a player for the Miami Dale, and has been with the team since Fall Ball. Buttercup has previously played for the Atlantis Georgias.

Official League Records

Buttercup joined the ILB as a lineup player for the Atlantis Georgias during the Descension.

During the Season β14 elections, Buttercup received a combined stat change of 10.8 → 15.7 as a result of the Georgias' Infuse will.

During the November 18, 2022 Fall Ball, Buttercup fell to the Miami Dale.

Box of Yurts Buttercup Files

Dust billows as the file box lands on the table. While many archives in the Interdimensional Rumor Mill are unified in some way, this... definitely isn’t one of them. The accompanying Rumor Registry explains all of the contents... wherever it is... but for now you grab the folder labelled IF-67.661 and start reading...

Appearance

Yurts Buttercup is a large whale shark with a flower crown made of buttercups. Yurts has never been seen taking off this flower crown so it is theorized to be a part of Yurts’ body. However, Yurts has never commented on if the crown is just a hat or not.

Personality

Yurts is quite a friendly fellow. Though most think of him as mysterious because he only seems to be tending to the Bubble’s garden. Though teammates have said that he is quite friendly to all the fish who stop by the garden, he is quite shy around other people he doesn’t know that well. The only thing most know about him is that he is a gentle giant due to him caring for the plants around the Bubble and in Atlantis itself. Yurts has been spotted caring for plants in random flower beds around the city, however officials deny this saying that these flower beds are cared for by a different whale shark named Trunbo Buttercup citing that the two look identical because they are siblings.

Relationship to Yurts Trunbo

There are rumors floating about Atlantis that due to being the caretaker of the Bubble’s garden and nature as a gentle giant that Yurts Buttercup is somehow related to the caretaker of the Crabitat, Yurts Trunbo. Some even say that the Georgias player is actually Yurts Trunbo! However, these claims lack validity due to three main factors: 1) Buttercup was born in Atlantis and has never lived in Baltimore 2) The Georgias were ascended when the Crabs started playing in the Crabitat, meaning that Yurts would have to be in two places at once 3) Trunbo has never been reported to be seen as a large whale shark However, Buttercup has been seen with a number of pea crabs within the Bubble. These pea crabs are completely unrelated to the ones that live in the Crabitat as these live within the Bubble’s garden. This is perhaps due to the head gardener of the Bubble, Baxtergreen Sutton, is a sea cucumber and accidentally brought one to the garden. Buttercup is of course friends with these little gardener crabs as both parties tend the gardens of the Bubble.
