Official League Records

Kingbird joined the ILB as a player in the Shadows for the Atlantis Georgias during the Descension.

During the Season β14 elections, Kingbird joined the Georgias' active lineup in exchange for Gita Biscuits as a result of the Georgias' Foreshadow will.

Kingbird was traded to the Hawai'i Fridays in exchange for Montgomery Bullock during the Season β16 elections via the Georgias' Equivalent Exchange will, becoming a pitcher in the process.

During the Season β19 elections, Kingbird retreated to the Shadows in exchange for Yasslyn Statter Jr. as a result of the Fridays' Foreshadow will. Kingbird was then sent from the bullpen to the bench as a result of the Fridays' Move will.

During the Season β22 elections, Kingbird's star ratings were completely randomized as a result of the Shadow Alternate Trust blessing, resulting in Kingbird becoming an Alternate and gaining the Negative modification.

On Season β23, Day 72, Kingbird joined the Fridays' lineup in exchange for Samothes Dembélé at Hawai'i Viberight Field via the Ratified Voicemail.

During the November 18, 2022 Fall Ball, Kingbird fell to the San Francisco Lovers.

Testimony on Mordecai Kingbird's Identity

Stories swirl about Mordecai Kingbird in the Interdimensional Rumor Mill. Wiki archivists have dutifully recorded some of them in a Rumor Registry, summarized for easy research. These are the notes for one story from IF-87.109...

Appearance

Mordecai Kingbird is a radical catboy with bird wings. Some in Atlantis refer to prin as a sphinx or a griffin...however, the truth is stranger than the rumors. He is a half-siren half-catboy. As a result, he has the ability to lure people with his voice though he often doesn’t use it in this manner. The wings were just a side effect, literally no one knows why prin has wings. He also has scars from Consumer attacks that he shows off to anyone who asks.

Jobs

Kingbird is not only a professional athlete, but is also lead singer of the (slightly terrible) punk band The Kingbirds. The band has been quoted as better than This Is a Tragedy but worse than The Garages. The music of The Kingbirds is at the very least palatable. That being said, pri is a very big fan of the Garages and aspires to one day perform with them. However, listening to his music...he still has a long way to go before that dream can become a reality.

Kingbird also is a lighthouse keeper. Atlantis doesn’t see any maritime trade, and the lighthouse is a relic of a bygone era. He doesn’t say much about what he does to keep the light shining through the sea at night. He’d rather be promoting his band. As a result, his role in the upkeep of his lighthouse is a mystery. There are rumors as to what that entails, but the lighthouse without fail lights up the sea at night, guiding travelers back to the safety of Atlantis.

Kingbird in Hawai'i

In season β15 Kingbird was hit by a harsh consumer attack that left the Georgias worried about the state of prins health. Kingbird prinself reportedly thought these concerns were overblown, stating “Whatever, sharks never strike twice.”[1]

After the Season β16 Postseason, Kingbird decided it was time to spread pri’s wings and leave Atlantis, hoping to find prinself a place with more room to shine. The move from his previous home to Hawai‘i was a natural one, and pri fit right in with the rest of the Fridays who were excited to meet another oceanic friend. Initially Kingbird was quite starstruck when joining the team, reports say, already a big fan of many of the Fridays players for their extra-blaseball pursuits, such as Karato Bean’s skills in surfing, and Elijah Valenzuela’s “efforts against invasive species.”

Once settled into the team, Kingbird focused pri’s energy into various different passions. Now living above the water, pri dove into surfing practice and worked on pri’s music, often found in harmony with Fridays musicians Bates Bentley and Stevenson Heat. While getting along with all his teammates, pri also found a close friend in Yasslyn Statter Jr.. Upon arrival, Kingbird also unintentionally became a part of the Fridays' bird-mania, met with cheers counting up the number of bird players and residents.

Founding the Hawai'i Fridays' Skate Gang

However, above all that Kingbird spent most of their pri’s time focusing on skateboarding, as it was found to be much easier to do on land than under the sea. While the splort had always has an active fanbase among both the Fridays and their fans, Kingbird officially founded the Hawai‘i Fridays Skate Gang. As described by one reporter, pri took it from an unofficial passion to a fully established element of the team as a whole, “[incorporating] the gang as a part of the larger Fridays organization”. When asked for more details about it, Kingbird has replied “I just like skateboarding to be honest.” Professional skateboarding journalists declined to comment when asked about Kingbird’s skills with the board.
