Save the information documented on this page, little is known about what Arturo 'Arty' Huerta looks like. No visual depiction of Huerta exists, all photographs are damaged or rendered unusable by some chance or user-operated error. Any visual or audio recordings of Huerta are prone to data corruption so as to make the data unusable. In all incidents, no foul play was suspected or proven. Many artists have spent hours working on drawings of Huerta, only to realize their canvasses were either incomprehensible or still blank.

How others perceive Arturo seems to vary. Some claim that Huerta blends into the crowd, easily glossed over by others. Others can say for certain they know what Arturo looks like, only for the details to slip from their mind immediately on looking away from. The only player in the ILB who has claimed they can regularly perceive and describe Huerta's appearance is Oliver "OLL-E" Notarobot. Upon being interviewed, Notarobot's response was "Sure, he’s-" Notarobot experienced a failure in his voice box hardware shortly after and had to cut the interview short. All future attempts to give a description of Arturo resulted in malfunction.

Arturo Huerta is featured in the following fics or interactive fiction pieces:

As of Season 10, researchers into the nature of the realms of Blaseball have come up with a predominant theory that explains Huerta's peculiar nature. Further ability to perceive both Incineration in which Incinerated players are cast and the Shadows that are omnipresent in each team suggest that Huerta is a being half-tuned to our reality and to somewhere else. This metaphysical "Elsewhere" allows Arturo Huerta to perceive realities that may not be casually observable to others: Huerta has confirmed in written interviews that he was able to understand the nature of the Void when accompanying the rest of the team to rescue Jaylen Hotdogfingers, as well as having the ability to see the players who made deals with the Shadows, having confirmed on Mike Townsend's return that he could always see him around Seattle's baseball park and having communication with Lenny Marijuana before his unshadowing. It is currently unknown how Huerta perceives the infinite intersecting realities of Los Angeli.

As for Seattle's blaseball team, Arturo's dual-realm nature does not seem to inhibit his ability to pitch, play the vibraphone, or communicate with his teammates. "Oh, Arty? He's always there to lend a hand if you need it." Seattle Garages player Malik Destiny said in an interview. "He's really quiet, though! I can never hear him coming, even though I can hear a lot of things with my ears. He's really nice and apologizes for sneaking up on people, though!" However, this report conflicts with Notarobot's depiction of Huerta.

"Arturo Huerta is a trickster within the 90th percentile." Notarobot commented.  "His jests, largely targeted at me due to my ability to perceive and remember him, are unceasing and relentless.”

These two conflicting stories capture the nature of Arturo Huerta: The man everyone knows, but no one perceives.

Hobbies and Activities
Huerta has been seen spending time in the greenhouse atop the Big Garage. When asked, team member Paula Turnip said “Yeah, I let anyone on the team grow things up there. Art is real simple, he has a single basil plant he likes to tend to. Cute little thing, though I’m starting to have a hard time keeping track of where it is.”

It is speculated that Huerta is behind the murals painted on the team Vending Machines, though attempts to confirm this with any of the band members or former member Farrell Seagull proved fruitless, saying they enjoyed the mystery of it.

Despite his imperceptibility (or perhaps because of it) Huerta is a known party animal and loves to throw spontaneous ragers near the end of the season with complete disregard for the games currently being played. These parties often involve multiple players, much to the dismay of teammate Betsy Trombone, who views Huerta's antics as "childish and unprofessional." The most infamous of these game-disrupting bashes is Arturo Huerta's Birthday Party, which occurs on day 97 and has been a can't miss event since Season 13, when Huerta first decided to celebrate it. It is unclear whether Huerta’s birthday has always been day 97. When asked by Theodore Duende why he hadn’t informed his teammates of his birthday earlier, or even told them how old he was, Huerta was half-seen half-inferred to smile mysteriously and say that not everything needs to be public all the time. Though centered around day 97, Huerta's birthday party often begins early and lasts the whole last week of the season. Frequent attendees include Malik Destiny and Lotus Mango.

Box of Arturo Huerta Files

Dust billows as the file box lands on the table. While many archives in the Interdimensional Rumor Mill are unified in some way, this... definitely isn’t one of them. The accompanying Rumor Registry explains all of the contents... wherever it is... but for now you grab the folder labelled IF-8.185 and start reading...

This report was stolen from Corporation Databases during a dangerous and stealthy heist by F. Seagull and B. Trombone. It was shared on Trombone's Instlagram story approximately two minutes after discovery with the captions "look @ these boring papers we found smh someone tell farrell to hurry up", "can't believe i'm missing bach night for this ughhhhhhhhhh", and "ya ik we all know colin's gonna pick julie over jenn f. but it's abt the EXPERIENCE of seeing him actually do it"
Some sections of this report are redacted. This is in part due to Corporation security protocols and in part to Trombone’s upsettingly large Instlagram captions obscuring some of the text.

INFORMATION

HUERTA is an original member of the ███████████████ blaseball team / insurgent group / musical ensemble. Their affiliation with the group dates to before season 1 and before the destruction of ███████.

Until season 14, HUERTA’s last recorded appearance in this dimension was on Day 97 during the final phase of the ████████ of season 0. Retroactive examination of footage shows that HUERTA does not appear to have been retrieved with the rest of their compatriots during the ████████ and seems to have some resistance to Necrosolar frequencies, enough so that they were not successfully onboarded with the remaining members of ███████████████.

HUERTA is skilled in the arts of STEALTH, FORGERY, TRICKERY, OBSCURITY and VIBRAPHONE, and to this point has evaded capture.

Observation of HUERTA has to this point been difficult, but breakthroughs in tracking technology and an apparent realignment of POLARITY has allowed Corporation experts to gather more information about their purported abilities. HUERTA has the power to divert attention and memory away from their form, possibly at will, possibly unwittingly. Closed-group experimentation or study has not been possible due to the nature of HUERTA’s escape.

Retroactive tracking and information gathering has led Corporation experts to believe that after the events of the ████████ in season 0, HUERTA found one of several undocumented dimensional rifts, possibly with the aid of UMBRAMANTIC MAGICS, and exited this dimension to enter SHADOW SEATTLE. HUERTA appears to have embedded with the SEATTLE GARAGES Blaseball team / insurgent group / musical ensemble as a pitcher.

HUERTA was not spotted in this dimension again until Gods’ Day of Season 14, the earliest point at which retroactive data analysis has been able to pick up on their energy signature. HUERTA appears to have spent three years--from Season 15 to Season 17--undercover with rebel groups in as-yet unreclaimed portions of the city of DARK SEATTLE. Undercover spies have found that HUERTA may have spent time at the WARHORSE EMBLEM underground hot-tub club, but these reports cannot be confirmed.

At the time, data was not able to be collected about HUERTA’s escape, but after the aforementioned POLARITY SHIFT in season 19, information began to be retrievable from Corporation databases about the circumstances of their second exit from this dimension. It appears that on Gods’ Day of season 17, while the majority of the [INSERT CURRENT NUMBER] Dark Seattle Corporates players were awaiting election results, HUERTA executed a ██████████████████████████████from the roof of the Tower and ████████████████████████████████████████████████ smoke bomb █████████████████████████████████ from a helicopter ████████████████████████████████████████████████████ ████████████████████████████████████████ “YOU’LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE” ██████████████████████████████████████████ ███████████████████████████████████████████ destroying at least 14 different items of Company property in the process.

HUERTA appears to have built up a resistance to mind-altering effects of all sorts, for reasons that are not immediately discernible. Intelligence gathered from agents Lightside indicates that HUERTA has incorporated a neutralized version of Necrosolar mental waves into their pregame ritual. It is not clear how this works.

HUERTA appears to have integrated into the environment of the Lightside SEATTLE GARAGES Blaseball team without revealing much information about their origins. It is possible that this is due to their aforementioned memory-diverting ability.

What can be observed and noted about HUERTA despite said ability is some of their deceptions; they appear to have at some point begun informing SEATTLE GARAGES team members that the date of the ████████ event, roughly corresponding to Day 97, is “their birthday,” and regularly participate in outlandish celebrations and festivities on that date. It is unclear what purpose this serves, whether to detract attention from something or otherwise.

Huerta plays the vibraphone in the SEATTLE GARAGES musical ensemble.

ANY EMPLOYEE WITH INFORMATION ABOUT THIS FUGITIVE SHOULD CONTACT EXT. *8185 IMMEDIATELY.
KNOWINGLY OR UNKNOWINGLY WITHHOLDING SUCH INFORMATION FROM THE CORPORATION IS IMMEDIATE CAUSE FOR EMPLOYEE TERMINATION.
