File:Man of metropolis.jpg|alt=A digital drawing on top of a photograph. The photograph is of NYC at night as seen from the air. The drawing is of Wyatt Mason IX from Blaseball, done in a fairly simplistic style. He is floating with knees slightly bent and hands folded in front of him, eyes closed. He has light brown skin, curly chin-length dark brown hair dyed bright pink at the bottom, and is wearing blue pants, pink boots, a pale pink hoodie, and pale pink headphones. The photograph can be seen slightly through the drawing, and there's a static effect on the drawing as well.|the man of metropolis (steals our hearts) by [https://bread--quest.tumblr.com/ sonder]

Wyatt Mason IX Across Dimensions

In the Interdimensional Rumor Mill’s library, there’s an always-evolving book titled Wyatt Mason IX’s Rumor Registry. A bookmark sticks out from between the pages, labelled IF-56.149 and marking the following entry...

█████ Wooten was a pitcher for the New York Millennials, and has been since season 14 when the Microphone lifted. He was originally a batter but was moved to pitching in Season 6. As it turned out, he was far more successful at that.

Life outside of Blaseball

Mason has a fairly successful career as a DJ. They play “lo-fi beats to hate capitalism to,” and are a big fan of the Garages. Since Season 14, they tend to play music more and talk less.
He is a college graduate, and has a degree in urban planning. He is currently working on increasing accessibility in NYC’s subway system. The Millennials attended his graduation. They even put away their phones (except to take pictures.) Fae has the pictures on faer phone.

Season 14

On Day 77 of Season 14, something happened.

It was always going to happen. It was a setup.

Wyatt Mason was not available to pitch during the day 77 game. Someone was on the mound. Whether it was Mason is debatable.

Mason reappeared at the beginning of season 15. There was something different about him. He said he didn’t want to talk about it.

Everything is possible, so everything is true, so this can’t be wrong, but…

this doesn’t feel right.
