Box of Torus McGhee Files

Dust billows as the file box lands on the table. While many archives in the Interdimensional Rumor Mill are unified in some way, this... definitely isn’t one of them. The accompanying Rumor Registry explains all of the contents... wherever it is... but for now you grab the folder labelled IF-47.279 and start reading...

Torus McGhee is an experimental fashion mechanic, tailor, and resident recluse of the Core. One of the few members not originally from the Core, he has nonetheless become a staple of the community, and when the Core found itself in need of a blaseball team, he grudgingly agreed to pitch, as it would allow him more time to devote to other projects than batting would. Said projects include clothing made entirely of electroluminescent wire, adaptive clothing optimized for the Core’s fluctuating temperatures, and other innovative types of clothes that comprise the short list of things he will speak at length about.

His close friendships on the team include Jasper Ji-Eun, who has been known to spend time in Torus’ workshop doing nothing in particular, calling himself “there for moral support,” and Shirai McElroy, with whom Torus often collaborates. Torus was also close with Ruffian Applesauce, who was incinerated on Season 13, Day 79.

Torus has been described by teammates as “gruff”, “such a softie”, and “weirdly good at sitting still for long enough that he starts gathering dust”; be advised that the last comment is unverified. Presently, he has yet to give an official interview, and has rarely been seen outside of his workshop.
