COMMUNITY REPORTS

Marco Escobar lead the Houston Spies to nearly dozens of championships in the 1970s. The Marco Escobar who currently plays for the Spies is their much younger cousin, and they're also very good, as well as a devout Catholic. More specifically, Escobar is the world's only known practitioner of the esoteric Greco-Roman-Blaseballic Rite of the Rosicrucian Catholic Church. In accordance with their religious beliefs, Marco Escobar has no life outside of blaseball. When the Houston Spies aren't playing, Escobar can commonly be seen at their stadium or practice areas, looking utterly lost when not in the midst of a blaseball-based scenario. Escobar has made several comments in interviews suggestive of a theological interpretation of blaseball, and appears to regard multiple players, including Jessica Telephone and Rivers Rosa, as prophets - a classification which all of these players strenuously deny. Escobar pays very close attention to their chosen prophets during matches, considering their every move to be mystically significant. According to them, Telephone and Rosa are "living vessels of the words of the Blaseball Gods" in their aspects as Atlas, carrier of the burden, and Kronos, lord of time, respectively. Rosa appears to avoid interacting with Escobar, but analysts are unable to agree whether this is as a result of discomfort, confusion, or bemusement. Telephone has simply declined to comment. Escobar may have had some advance warning of Morrow Wilson's feedback trade from the Pies, as they have on record described this move as "the last sign before the Titanomachia". According to them, Morrow is the "god-man" that is destined to supplant the Blaseball Gods in the "final days" or "twilight of the gods". To this end, Escobar has set up a one man rivalry between himself and the Tigerbeams alliance, arguing that the Hell-derived teams' success constitutes "favor from the false gods". It is speculated that Escobar's blasphemy of the Blaseball Gods has resulted in the Gods' denial of Divine Favor. Wilson, as The Chosen One Meant To Save Us All From The Forces Of Darkness, is undoubtedly used to such treatment, but sources say that he is annoyed with Escobar's repeated attempts to convince him that the "Forces of Darkness" described in The Prophecy by which his birth was foretold are in fact the Tigerbeams. Escobar has affirmed that their ultimate goal is to die during a match, stating that this is "the only way to enter Ballhalla".
