Lars Mendoza was a family man. As a single father of three, Mendoza spent nearly all his time off the field caring for his children. When he had time to himself, he enjoyed visiting his neighborhood comic book store to paint miniatures and play tabletop games. He eventually purchased the store with his [[ILB]] earnings. He was a widely respected figure in the community for his can-do attitude and helpful nature.

After his death, Mendoza's spirit was adopted by a 3rd grade classroom through a Lions Club "Adopt A Spirit" program. The children of this class donated large numbers of tribute peanuts to him in an attempt to keep him out of the lower ranks of the dead in the [[Hall of Flame]]. This event has been memorialized in the annual Lars Mendoza Memorial Chili Cook-Off.

Official League Records

Mendoza joined the ILB as a lineup player for the Dallas Steaks with the Return of Blaseball.

On Season β2, Day 51, Mendoza was incinerated and replaced by Marco Stink.
