Season 20

Sun(Sun)

At the start of the season, Sun (Sun) remained visible on the standings page, with a gauge labeled as "pressure" that seemed to rise with every Run, Win, and Incineration in the league.

The Depth Chart

Season 20 marked the introduction of the Depth chart, which was was a way for teams to visualize where they fell along the league's levels. The Y axis of the grid represented a team's eDensity in relation to the League, while the x axis represented an unknown variable. The top of the chart featured a desert, while the bottom of the chart featured a number of clouds as well as the Gate that was seen on Blaseball2.

The chart was split across the middle with a line resembling the MVP line seen on the Idol Board, and teams moved closer to the Desert or Gate as their Credit Rating changed.

The Fifth Base

During the Season 19 elections, Jesús Koch received the Legendary Super Roamin' Fifth Base from the blessing of the same name, becoming Super Roamin' and roaming to a new team every 9 days.

On Day 38 the Fifth Base was placed down for the first time in The Oven and fans discovered the intricacies of the Legendary Item. A baserunner holding the The Fifth Base has a small chance of placing and stealing to the Fifth Base in the ballpark they are currently playing in, giving the ballpark  The Fifth Base modification and removing the item from the player. If a baserunner is standing on the placed Fifth Base, they have a small chance of stealing the base, giving them this item and removing the modification from the ballpark.

The Base changed hands several times over the course of the season, and a full list of it's travels is available here.

Underhanded

As the season progressed, the effects of the Underhanded Blessing from the previous election began to take hold as Michelle Sportsman became the first player to achieve a negative ERA, ending the season winning 28 of her 32 games.

This was only the start of what was to come, as in the Giftshop that season teams were able to purchase an Underhanded cap, which resulted in a total of 17 pitchers across the league making use of the Underhanded modification, contributing to the league average ERA dropping form 4.5 to 4.1 between Season 19 and Season 20.

The Underbracket

With the passing of the Under Bracket in the Season 19 Elections, losing teams were now able to compete in a losers tournament, with the goal to lose enough games to un-lose the underbracket. Underbracket wins netted the team a Championship win on their team's info card, though it was unclear if these would be counted towards Evolution.

The winner of the inaugural Underbracket was the ----, who lost....

The Investigation Concludes

of Season 20, it was declared that the Investigation led by Liquid Friend and Uncle Plasma had concluded, and both players were pulled out of the league and Preserved.

Season 21

Go Long

featured a desert, and was first reached by the Atlantis Georgias on Season 21 Day 74. When the team reached the 0 mark on the chart it prompted the following message from The Reader:

touch down
special teams
tumbleweed sounds

This resulted in Blaseball0 being updated to show a large number of cacti, and revealed a blagonball.

While was first visibly reached by the Ohio Worms on Season 21 Day 75, the Seattle Garages and New York Millennials each reached the corresponding level before the chart was visible. On both occasions, tweets from the Commissioner noted that he had heard a "strange noise" but not to worry about it, and the Gate on Blaseball2 appeared to be damaged. When the Worms reached the gate it prompted the following message from the Monitor:

something smells fishy
woah
herring
my favorite
how did you know
good hunch

This allowed players to upshell certain events to get Red Herrings, allowing them to unredact entries from Prehistory in the Library. This also resulted in Blaseball2 being updated to show a large number of Red Herrings bursting free from behind the broken gate.

Tie Game

The Semi-Centennial

The Semi-Centennial proceeded as scheduled, despite the risk noted by many fans of the  Super Roamin' and  Firewalker Parker MacMillan participating in a 50-inning game alongside the  Trader New Megan Ito, who would in all likelihood attempt to steal MacMillan's The Force Field, unleashing him into the ILB.

This turned out to be only one of several dangers however, as during the course of the game, several Heists occurred in which the Vault Legends approached Rising Stars players, who were either collected and Artificially Forged, moving from the Rising Stars roster and added to the Vault Legends roster, or managed to evade. Notably every player that the Vault legends attempted to heist was moved over with the exception of Rat Mason, who the Legends attempted to steal three times, all unsuccessful.

With the collection of Nicholas Mora during inning 29, Sun(Sun)’s pressure reached 100%, resulting in the explosion of Sun(Sun). The Boss appeared in front of the resulting Supernova to address the Fans, confirming that Yes, Sun(Sun) appears to have exploded. There is no reason to panic. The Semi-Centennial is henceforth Cancelled. The Result is a Draw. Don't forget to #Vote!

After the game, players from the Rising Stars returned to their ILB teams in randomized positions. Players who had not been active prior to the Semi-Centennial, such as deceased or pre-History players, were sent to random teams. Vault Legends, including the recently Artificially Forged players, remained in the Vault and did not return to their prior teams or the Hall.

Season 24

Parker MacMillan in the ILB

In Season 24 of Internet League Blaseball The Force Field was stolen from Parker MacMillan by New Megan Ito during the Semi-Centennial, Macmillan was once again able to super roam out of the vault and into the ILB causing new opportunities for teams to become unstable.

Team Incinerations and Replacements

With Parker MacMillan and the new added weather of the Supernova Eclipse, whole teams were now at risk of being of being incinerated. The first team to be incinerated was the On Season 24 Day 3, the Kansas City Breath Mints played the Philly Pies under a Super Nova Eclipse and were incinerated by a Rouge Umpire. Notably the Mints were not unstable, making this the first example of a non-unstable team incineration.

The Mints were replaced by the Oxford Paws.

On Season 24 Day 12 the Hawai'i Fridays played the Baltimore Crabs under a Supernova Eclipse and were incinerated by a Rouge Umpire, chaining their instability to the Crabs.

Due to the Fridays'  Squiddish modification, they were replaced by the Carolina Queens.

The Map

Blaseball is Nullified

As the season progressed the Black Hole (Black Hole) grew and teams scrambled for safety until Day 99 when the entirety of the map was covered and Blaseball itself was nullified. An emergency alert then declared that the "Black Hole Black Hole burped" and "Blaseball was compressed by Gamma". Namerfeit appeared to announce balance paid credit extended, and Parker managed one last question, asking "did you hear that / that big bang"

The Credits rolled on the Expansion Era, and leaving a message that Blaseball was elsewhere, and the teams Under Review would return.
