Skipping is a Modification given out to players in the Season 22 Election causing their ball and out count to be randomized when they step up to bat.
Effect
The Skipping Modification caused a player's count to be randomized at the start of their at-bat, meaning that they could start with any number of balls or strikes filled in, and play would continue normally from there. Additionally the player's starting message changed from "[Player] batting for [team]" to, "[Player] skipped up to bat for [Team]".
After a season of play, the mechanical impact of the could be evaluated, where it was found that the Skipping Modifier seemed to reduce a player's Batting Average, but increase their overall On Base Percentage by a similar amount. The following is a comparison of Skipping players before and after their modification, leaving out players who Dusted or were Incinerated.

This change was due to a significant increase in the number of times a Skipping player would be walked - with this being the most obvious when looking at the league wide walk leaders. When adjusted for their total number of appearances; of the top 20 players most likely to get a walk in Season 23, 15 of those players were Skipping. The most egregious example of this was Malik Destiny who was able to draw a walk on 29.3% of their appearances.
History
The Skipping Modification was first seen as a result of the Season 22 Blessing Record Scratch that was won by the Ohio Worms and caused one player in every other team's lineup to gain the modifier.
This resulted in the following players to start Skipping:

- Steph Weeks
- Peanutiel Duffy
- Lottie Ceilingfan
- Liquid Friend III
- Rigby Friedrich
