Mira Lemma is a player for the New York Millennials, and has been with the team since Fall Ball. Lemma has played for the Core Mechanics.

Official League Records

Lemma joined the ILB as a lineup player for the Core Mechanics during the Descension.

During the Season β16 elections, Lemma's batting was increased 3 4 and baserunning decreased 3.2 2.9 as a result of the Mechanics' Transfuse will.

On Season β20, Day 81, Lemma was swept  Elsewhere... and gained the Negative modification as a result of Cannonball Sports's Undertaker modification.

During the Season β21 elections, Lemma's alternate was called as a result of the Handful Alternate Trust blessing.

On Season β22, Day 2, Lemma retreated to the Mechanics' Shadows in exchange for Shirai McElroy at the Core Pillar Center via the Ratified Voicemail.

During the December 2, 2022 Fall Ball, Lemma fell to the New York Millennials.

Box of Mira Lemma Files

Dust billows as the file box lands on the table. While many archives in the Interdimensional Rumor Mill are unified in some way, this... definitely isn’t one of them. The accompanying Rumor Registry explains all of the contents... wherever it is... but for now you grab the folder labelled IF-64.864 and start reading...

Background

Mira is a Foundry Demon. Like the related species of Maxwell's demon, she is capable of manipulating individual atoms, but prefers not to because "there's just so many of them and it gets tedious." Mira "the laws of thermodynamics are more like suggestions" Lemma habitually resists entropy and creates order from chaos unless she's deliberately trying not to.

Unlike the related demon family of lust demons, foundry demons draw power from any general feelings of passion. Mira was originally attracted to the core for the vast supply of people in the core working passionately on their own fun projects, but soon found herself discovering new hobbies and enjoying new aspects of herself.

Foundry demons don't play card games or other games involving randomness, for obvious reasons. When the Core Mechanics first invited Mira to play cards with them, and it was her turn to shuffle and deal, someone at the table half-jokingly accused her of cheating because she ended up dealing the cards in perfect order. Mira hadn't realized that her anti-entropy would express itself that way, and after startled protests that she would never cheat, the Mechanics realized everything worked just fine as long as someone else did the shuffling before she dealt. The other person apologized, and Mira got to learn a whole new variety of games she'd never played before.

Mira has a tic disorder and has been known to have vocal tics of team chants. She occasionally has coprolalic tics, and the team will always be ready to stick up for her if someone were to call it "bad splortsmanship", though thankfully, the situation has never come about.

Hobbies

Mira is a big fan of pure mathematics, finding it a nice change of pace to solve puzzles consciously instead of unconsciously. Mira can often be found discussing experiments with SIBR, unconsciously ruining any randomized simulations in her immediate vicinity.

Although both physics and math have been said to be beautiful, Mira prefers math to physics for the same reason that people who've worked in fast food avoid eating it: she's seen too many of the behind-the-scenes horrors to ever be comfortable. When asked for comment, Mira responded "It's a complete hackjob of a system. You ever try to determine both the position and velocity of a particle? It's not that it's literally impossible, it's just that the determinism engine is so buggy that we've never gotten both halves of it working at the same time. Trust me, after a couple years working as a quantum mechanic you'd hate physics too."

Mira is also an avid chless boxer, competing in the heavy metal division. She occasionally uses her boxing gloves to bat by punching the ball.
