Pronouns

Hi! I'm new to Blaseball but I noticed that Randy's pronouns are inconsistent in this article? The info box says Randy uses he/him, but apart from one mention in Personal Life and another in Career the article sticks with they/them. Does Randy use both, and if so could that be noted in the infobox? I'd like to avoid misgendering, so if someone a bit more knowledgeable could put in whichever is consensus, that would be great! -DS

Jazz Hands Lore History

• 9 Sept 2020, approx 15:00 UTC - Proposed that Randy picked up the trumpet after joining the Jazz Hands, no objections over 15 minutes, accepted.
• 11 Sept 2020, approx 03:15 UTC - Randy was incinerated. To accommodate his Twitter RPer, lore generation was agreed to be placed on hold until his RPer was prepared to discuss & handle his exit.

Randy's Incineration

• After laying down ground rules and a brief statement on Randy's history from wiki admin Steven, discussion opened 11 Sept 2020, 14:26 UTC
• Opening statement was made by Newt, Randy's Twitter RPer, laying out that they plan to keep Randy alive on Twitter & posting a letter written in Randy's voice to further lay out what "happened" from his perspective. Key lore points are Randy being severely burned, but also being drawn back through a Hellmouth to Dominic Marijuana's apartment, where he is recovering. Generally agreed as accepted as a starting point.
• ThePanda1016 suggested Randy's cats move into King Sigmund. Further discussion pointed towards the cats going to Alaynabella Hollywood, though Sandoval Crossing and Nagomi Nava were also suggested.
  • Final decision: Hollywood officially runs a cat café for Randy's cats. Nagomi spends all her time there helping out. Bionicle display case is present. Other team members help out periodically. It is the safest & mellowest place in the whole Hellmouth.
• Discussions about keeping Randy alive & intact arose. Steven made an encouragement to ensure Randy has a definitive end. Two major proposals: Randy is severely injured/permanently changed, or Randy is drawn into Hell and begins maturing as a demon. Discussion was extensive.
  • Tied into the latter proposal, the Hellmouth changes as a result of Randy's joining, e.g. weed grows naturally, Minecraft blocks appear, pot smoke geysers become part of the Hellmouth, generally the place gets slightly friendlier.
  • Widespread agreement that Randy being drawn through the Hellmouth is related to the Tug.
  • Pointed out that the Commissioner takes a literal interpretation of incineration, explicitly referenced for Randy.
  • Hybrid solution proposed: Randy escapes to Dom's apartment via Hellmouth ???, but doesn't recover under his care; eventually, Randy realizes he has to go back to Hell and become a mature demon, and that's his only way out. Strongly favored by Discord (35 votes, vs 5 votes for only Hell, 1 for only recovery with Dom), but admins expressed reservations. Discussion suspended until official incineration policy was published.
• Proposal to have Randy's incineration be in some part to save Hendricks Richardson, as Rich wouldn't have survived the incin in the same way.
  • Further clarified: Randy didn't know what was going to happen, just that it was what he was supposed to do.
  • Point was made about "why was it Hendricks, and not Emmett Internet?" Opinion poll came out as tie, further discussion ensued.
  • Final decision: Keep it vague; Randy may have known about both his impending Feedback and incineration, but it's unclear. Poll results were 20-16. Next most popular option, Randy definitely knew about both, had 10 votes. Remaining 6 were 3 - didn't know about Feedback, knew about incin; 2 - knew about Feedback, didn't know about incin; 1 - didn't know about either. Results finalized 16:31 UTC.
• Incineration timeline/beats, as discussed in the discord:
  • A rogue umpire incinerates Randall. As he is burning, a localized Hellmouth is seen underneath him. He falls through it.
  • Randall arrives at Dominic's Apartment. This event is spoken of primarily in rumor and hearsay, and a possible quote from Dom.
    • Possible quote: "We both wanted him to stay, but wanting something doesn't make it possible, even in Blaseball. Randy knew where he needed to be."
  • Randy leaves Dom's apartment. His final fate is never explicitly mentioned, but he does not appear in canon going forward on the Wiki.
• First draft of lore posted into communal doc 12 Sept 2020, 00:49 UTC, with cat café lore draft close behind at 01:04 UTC. Feedback period extends until 13 Sept 2020, 01:30 UTC.
