Soundproof is a player modification that makes players immune to being caught in feedback during gamed played under Feedback weather.
When a soundproof player would be caught in a feedback swap, they instead receive a message that they "resist" and the other player in the swap is "tangled in the flicker!", giving them a minor decrease in attributes.
Soundproof was first seen in the Season β5 Elections as a part of the Noise-Cancelling Headphones and Wax blessings. The Headphones would be won by the Hades Tigers and awarded to Mclaughlin Scorpler while Wax would be won by the Hawai'i Fridays, making the entire team Soundproof the following season.
The Headphones would later be lost, along with all other Discipline Era items across the league, at the beginning of Season 15. The first Item to appear with the Noise-Cancelling Element was a Noise-Cancelling Ambitious Blood Cap, awarded to Schneider Bendie from the Community Chest on Season β17, Day 30. Noise-Cancelling Items continued to appear in Community Chests, as well as from Blessings, Gift Shop drops, and Prize Matches.
Soundproof reappeared as a a Seasonal Team Modification available in the Gift Shop for Seasons 18, 19, 20, and 21, granting teams protection from the Latesiesta until season's end. The Wild Wings, Lovers, Spies and Jazz Hands acquired Soundproof in Season 19; followed by the Lift, Crabs, and Garages in Season 20 and the Tacos and Sunbeams in Season 21.
- When Mclaughlin Scorpler gained the Noise-Cancelling Headphones in the Season β5 Election, they dropped the Fireproof Jacket that they coincidently also won in the same election. After Scorpler was incinerated in Season β7, the Fireproof Jacket was renamed to Scorpler's Jacket in the Election.
- Soundproof was referenced in the ILB Semi-Centennial when Tillman Henderson (Former Shoe Thief) was stolen by the Vault Legends and Lōotcrates commented with the following:
Render One Immune to Criticism"
