Hailing from Elysium, she was born an ordinary deer until she was bit by a radioactive Blaseball player, giving her the ability to walk on two legs, grab things with her hooves, and speak in Blaseballian. Taking an interest in Blaseball, she used her new abilities to practice in the Elysian Underleagues, where games were played on long open fields with no back fence for harder home runs, and with a much slower pace of play. Despite underwhelming performance during her first three seasons, she quickly became popular with fans for her enthusiasm.

Paula Turnip was Yazmin's childhood friend, though the two had a falling out over Paula's "unethical business practices" before Yazmin joined the Tigers.

At this time Yazmin is refusing to field interviewers' questions about whether she would be more suited for a Good League team.

Alternate Reality

This version of Yazmin Mason hails from an unusually divergent dimension - one in which Landry Violence was never incinerated. Normally, such a massive divergence would be impossible as Blaseball outcomes remain consistent across all dimensions. Dr. Pecota has suggested that as replacement Paula Turnip exhibits shockingly similar performance to Landry, such a divergence could occur without violating the Blaseball Consistency Principle.

Yazmin, like her alternate counterparts, focused on training to improve herself after a disappointing Season 3 performance. However, without psychic rage at Landry's death fueling her pitching, she was unable to match said counterparts.

Decree Swap

When the Alternate Reality decree was selected by the participants, this Yazmin was swapped with the version of herself from IF-17.34. Yazmin was devastated to discover Landry's death and shocked to find Paula Turnip on the team in her new dimension.
