Soundproof
Soundproof is a modification that makes players immune to Feedback.
Effect
Soundproof is a player modification that makes players immune to being caught in feedback during gamed played under Feedback weather.
When a soundproof player would be caught in a feedback swap, they instead receive a message that they "resist" and the other player in the swap is "tangled in the flicker!", giving them a minor decrease in attributes.
History
Soundproof was first seen in the Season 5 Election as a part of the Noise-Cancelling Headphones blessing that was won by the Hades Tigers and awarded to Mclaughlin Scorpler.
In the Season 10 Election Soundproof returned as a team modification in the Noise-Cancelling Headphones blessing which was won by the Charleston Shoe Thieves.
The Headphones would later be lost, along with all other Discipline Era items across the league, at the beginning of Season 15.
Soundproof reappeared as a a Seasonal Modification available in the Gift Shop for Seasons 18, 19, 20, and 21.
Trivia
- When Mclaughlin Scorpler gained the Noise-Cancelling Headphones in the Season 5 Election, they dropped the Fireproof Jacket that they coincidently also won in the same election. After Scorpler was incinerated in Season 7, the Fireproof Jacket was renamed to Scorpler's Jacket in the Election.
- Soundproof was referenced in the ILB Semi-Centennial when Tillman Henderson (Former Shoe Thief) was stolen by the Vault Legends and Lōotcrates commented with the following:
"Tillman Henderson
Noise-Cancelling Headphones
Render One Immune to Criticism"
