History

The Tacos predate the arrival of the Spanish in Mexico. There is anthropological evidence that the indigenous people living in the lake region of the Valley of Mexico traditionally used blaseballs filled with small fish. Writing at the time of the Spanish conquistadors, Bernal Díaz del Castillo documented the first blaseball game witnessed by Europeans, a game which Hernán Cortés arranged for his captains in Coyoacán.

This game was disrupted by Xaratanga Pothos, A Mixtec Queen and Ancestor of Wanda Pothos. The Mixtecs under her command routed the Conquistadors, killing Cortés in the process.
