Jan is mentioned in an update to Lance's page: "The second was that Jan Canberra, the new captain of the Georgias, had memories in common with their 17th-century counterpart, and were likely the same person. [...] Serotonin was last seen continuing their research, relishing the use of A.F.I.S.H. resources, and unsuccessfully trying to draw memories out of Canberra."

Adrift (IF-1667) Jan Canberra

Hi! This is a Jan Canberra page that kicks off the next big Tokyo Adrift project. Jan Canberra is the captain after the Strongbody incident, and Lance Serotonin spends his time in the Georgias shadows researching the Adrift. I'm not sure how to mark this page up for publication, however, sorry!

From the Notes of A.F.I.S.H Researcher Lance Seratonin, P.h.D.:

Jan Canberra 1667 is a human(citation needed) woman(citation needed) and the second captain of the Tokyo Adrift. Originally From Atlantis(citation needed), Canberra 1667 appears to be a younger version of Canberra 83.52.

According to Doctor Serotonin, Canberra 83.52 recognizes Canberra 1667 as her own body, although she claims to not remember anything specific about the Tokyo Adrift. When prompted, there are events that she remembers hazily, such as the recruitment of ship's dog Cicero Gubbins 1667 and the return of her first mate Cudi di Batterino 1667 from the Isle of Spittle.

Canberra 1667 has notable personality similarities to Canberra 83.52, such as a penchant for taking on responsibility but a distaste for the finer details of said responsibility. Canberra 1667 appears fluent in constructed language "Tokyo Pona", a fluency that Canberra 83.52 lacks but expresses interest in. In "Tokyo Pona", Canberra 1667 is known as Jan Lawa pi Lanpan Telo by her companions aboard the Adrift. The origins of this constructed language are lost to history, although a revival began in 20xx.

The fate of the second crew of the Adrift is unknown. Research is ongoing. Although previous research has shown a loose correlation between the crew of the Tokyo Adrift and the composition of the Tokyo Lift, the fact that Canberra 1667 seems to have captained the Adrift for a prolonged period of time indicates to Doctor Serotonin that this correlation was weaker after the Strongbody Incident.

Hi Georgias! I wrote a short update for Jan's time on the Lift. This would be added after the "history" section on the current page. Let me know if you have any feedback!

On the Tokyo Lift

In Season 20, Canberra was feedbacked to the Tokyo Lift. While she approached the team with a lot of confidence, reports were unclear on if she went to the team intentionally to take a break from captain duties, if it was an accident, or if she even understood that her vacation was actually a permanent placement. Either way, Canberra made a bombastic entrance. Reportedly, the first thing she said after arriving on the Lift was, “It’s a good thing I’m here, so you’re welcome.”

Canberra spent a lot of time sailing on the Sea of Japan. She became close with new teammate Inky Rutledge, who spent several years away from the Sea of Japan and knows a thing or two about homesickness. (Not that Canberra was homesick, okay, she was doing great in Tokyo.) Canberra also developed a fascination with Kit Honey, occasionally claiming that she wrote Honey’s detective stories and reminiscing on times spent together. Honey was occasionally dragged into being the plucky detective to Canberra’s comical villainous antics in the Legscraper.

Canberra returned to Atlantis in the Season 20 elections. Everyone generally agrees this was for the best.

Ooh, so the timeline in here I think could use a bit of adjustment, usually it's agreed Jan wasn't the captain of the Georgias until her return from Tokyo? (before that it's usually agreed that Niq was the team captain)

Besides that, not sure if I really have any notes? Personally, I wouldn't describe her antics as "villainous" but that's really just my perspective on the character and I could totally see why someone else would think otherwise. Besides that I think you pretty much got her personality down -- she's very self-centered and a bit bombastic! She's the kind of person that will always make her presence known when she shows up, and that totally comes through here, I think.

Totally, thanks for the suggestions! I can cut the word villainous (I think comical antics gets the vibe across - I was aiming for a Scooby Doo villain kind of vibe but I get what you mean) and make and adjustment to the captain line - maybe “wanted a change of pace”?

Jan's IRMs broke due to the update! Due to her having one entry and the nature of Atlantis, the IRM type would be Filebox

Skeleton Jan Canberra

Hello there! This is the first IRM for Jan Canberra which will basically be like this: -skeleton pirate -apparently has secret treasure under the stadium...but really doesn't -presumably has played for the team for years even before the team's ascension, but they don't know their actual age -has an Australian accent

Daydream02 (talkcontribs)

Also, the consensus for Jan's pronouns are they/them
