Rhys Trombone
Rhys Trombone was a Four-Star Batter[1] for the Hellmouth Sunbeams and the sibling of Betsy Trombone. They were the highest-rated player on the team, an achievement often attributed to their funky fresh hits and bunts. Formerly an obscure jazz musician, they were acquired by the Sunbeams after they were sucked into the Hellmouth during the opening of the Forbidden Book. While unsuccessful in their former career, Trombone has become a popular member of the Sunbeams due to their skill with their brass-instrument-turned-Blaseball-rod BRASS INVICTUS, SOUL OF FUNK.
On day 2 of Season 3, Rhys Trombone was incinerated by a rogue umpire, during the 8th inning of a game against the Seattle Garages.
It should be noted that Rhys Trombone absolutely does not, and never, ever has, played the trombone.
