Forrest Bookbaby is a pitcher for the Philly Pies. Originally hailing from the Hellmouth, he played for the Charleston Shoe Thieves before being traded to the Pies at the end of season 3. Forrest's path to blaseball stardom began when his parents perished in the Hellmouth eruption of XX09. Forrest kept out of trouble by studying finance while he made his way through the foster system. He eventually joined his mentor Cornelius Games's "blaseball team" front organization, then unnamed, as a trainee accountant. After earning his last name with skilled book-keeping, he found himself thrust onto the mound in an attempt to live up to Games's high hopes. While with the Shoe Thieves, Bookbaby specialized in stealing platform pumps typical of the disco scene.

After the season 3 finals, Bookbaby was caught in Tastykake Stadium trying to get sneak off with the teams' cleats (and possibly sensitive financial information). He made a deal to play for the Pies in order to avoid prosecution. The Pies sent Kevin Dudley in exchange.
