Blessings are statistical bonuses granted to a randomly selected player on a team, with each team chosen by lottery. Blaseball participants may vote on any blessings for their team during the entirety of a season. At the end of each season (after the postseason games), the benefactor of each blessing is announced and awarded, in descending order of win percentage.

More participants voting on a particular blessing for their team means that their team is more likely, but not guaranteed, to be awarded said blessing. This dynamic was especially evident in Season 2, when the San Francisco Lovers were awarded with one blessing despite having approximately 0% of that blessing's vote.

History of Blessings

Blessings awarded to each team are recorded in the articles for each Season.

After Season 1 blessings were awarded, the umpire ump_chaff announced two more blessings that "happened at the same time as the regular election but were not officially part of said election." The umpire then stated, "I've added these transactions to the site as public knowledge."

It is unclear if mystery blessings are a regular element of Blaseball; some participants have speculated that one partially-redacted rule in the Book of Blaseball might refer to these mystery blessings.
