August Sky is a player for the Breckenridge Jazz Hands. She replaced Ogden Mendoza, who was tragically incinerated. She is known for her prominent Mohawk.

After Ogden's incineration, the team gathered around the molten remains of the once proud marble statue. August flew down from a nearby snow-covered tree and landed on eir mitt. The majestic bird lifted a blaseball out of Ogden’s mitt and flung it with an unpredictable spiraling motion dead over the plate and into the stands. This was the first known instance of August’s now famous signature beakball pitch. Comfort Septemberish solemnly proclaimed, “Takes a licking, and keeps on ticking.”  Needing a new pitcher, the Jazz Hands accepted them into the team.

Upon the appearance of the birds on Day 6 of Season 3, August has been frequently asked by interviewers to give a statement on their opinion on their blaseball-hating brethren. They refuse to comment at this time, but there is a glint in their eye every time the question is asked.
