"Most recently Ruiz has acquired a small package from one Kennedy Rodgers containing an ordinary deck of Blicycle playing cards tucked inside a clockwork "pack" about the size of a brick and weighing three pounds. The pack was specially made to shuffle the cards automatically, but the mechanism must be wound up prior with a special clockwork key, a process that takes a minimum of five minutes. Ruiz thanked Rodgers, but mainly uses it as a complicated paperweight."
