Gia’s Identity and Bodies
- Gia frequently tinkers with chassis and bat.
- She prefers the ease of modding a hard-light bat to traditional bats.
- She builds new bodies with the help of friends
- Gia experiments with different bodies and lacks common sense protocols
- Gia likes to upgrade herself to experience new things rather than to improve her current capabilities.
- Gia easily could reproduce her consciousness but chooses not to.
- Instead she chooses to jump between installations of her consciousness.
- She voluntarily chose not to create a back-up of herself, so she can accept the finality of death.
- Replication of herself weakens her sense of agency and identity.
- Gia has several bodies she lays around haphazardly. (could be a fun <choose>)
- A blaseball athlete’s body
- A blender
- Blenderbot at Torus McGhee’s Blattlebot competition
- Glolfbot’s current body
- A boat
- Gia keeps one in a comfy home, so she can cook for others.
- A tour bus
- The Gia-tar/Synth for Kelvin and the Kelvins
- An E-reader
- A jumbotron
- A toaster with emotions displayed by how well toast is made

Gia's Origins (nothing solidified possible grounds for an IRM)
- Gia may have been called to the Core, similarly to other Mechanics
- Originated from cyberspace instead of “meatspace”
- Gia could actually be a community of various viruses in harmony rather than a single AI
- This may lead to an interesting conversation with Bees Taswell
- Possible Gia backstory starting as a Core calendar program
- She began gaining sentience slowly
- She gave signs of her sentience though print outs
- She sought a body and freedom
- She keeps this first body for good memories
- She immediately took interest in experiencing the world she had been helping to schedule first-hand.
- Gia could have been one of many intelligences that fragmented from a single massive AI
- There may be early versions of Gia present around the Core, but they are more so seen as siblings/cousins of Gia.
- Gia originated from the connected consciousnesses of semi-sentient devices
- They linked together to form a more complex and powerful network (with limitations)
- With experience the network matured
- A story involving someone jumping over a “whole brook”
- She thought it would be a cool name
