The Great Lore/Math Lore Split refers to an event in Season β2 where a number of future patrons of the Society for Internet Blaseball Research fled from the confines of Blaseball fandom in order to form the Society and become Diviners in an unknown location.

Since the Split, the Diviners have been spotted periodically delivering SIBRmetrics-based Forbidden Knowledge prophecies to blaseball fans.

Math Velazquez denies any association with the Math Lore faction.
