Origin

The Baltimore Slun has reported that Best began life as a store mannequin. Witnessing the horrors of capitalism, while unable to move or act, imbued them with a deep rage and crime-thirst. It is not clear as to the exact details of the phenomenon that gave Best their life, but a number of corroborating witnesses have recalled the exact moment with a startling clarity: multiple crab legs sprung from the mannequin as it jerked to life without warning, promptly destroying the store front.

Early Life

It is rumored that Best emerged from a heavily wooded area carrying a bat, and walked in a straight line until they reached the Crabitat, though how he scaled the colossal crab guardian is unknown. Because of their preparedness, extra limbs, and air of mystery, Best was given a shot at batting practice, where a hitting coach remarked, "Wow, you're prepared and mysterious. Show me what you've got."
