Hoops: The Home Run Music Highway

When Hoops were first installed behind home plate in The Pillars, people were quick to point out that there's no physical way to dunk the ball once the home run is hit. The Home Run Music Highway is a couple of Core denizens' creative solutions to this issue. Described by fans as "an elaborate Rube Goldberg machine" and "the biggest music box [they've] ever seen," the Home Run Music Highway is a dedicated track with a backboard to catch balls that would normally leave the Pillars's walls. Along their way back toward home plate, they will bounce off of, run down, and turn gears to play instruments of all kinds, playing a distinct and catchy melody as they make their way to a final hill. After cresting this hill, the ball rolls down and flies off of the rail toward the Hoops, primed and ready for the dunking.
