Talk:Silvaire Roadhouse/Archive

From Blaseball Wiki

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Hi, it's Lilith from the Crabitat/Blaseball discords here just writing down what main lore on Silvaire we have semi-sorted so far after several hours of discussion!

-There are two Silvaire Roadhouses. ---Silvaire Roadhouse (I) is an immortal and mysterious retired cowboy who was called onto the team specifically by team managers Howard and Dwayne. They wear a very large hat and specialize at hitting home runs.

---Silvaire Roadhouse (II) is their granddaughter, a rowdy butch lesbian who may or may not be part-minotaur and who is trying her best to be a cowboy, even though she doesn't quite get it and is seen riding into the field on a different entity each time (including giant tortoises, Big Crabs, pedro's caravan, etc.) and insisting all of them are cows. She specializes in running the bases.

-Since the Silvaires share the same name, they are classified as the same player under Blaseball rules, because nowhere in the Book of Blaseball does it say this is not the case. They can and will swap places when the ball is not in play, and frequently when it is too, via a little technique commonly known as "tagging over when the umps aren't looking".

-Both Silvaires share the same bat, called the Big Iron.

Apart from those basic details, there's a lot of room for interpretation and expanding on their lore and a variety of additional ideas that have been floated in the Crab discord; these are just the basics!

Some additional notes from further discussion:

We'll probably stick with Silvaire being human rather than part-minotaur?

The grandfather astral projects through her to give her cowboy guidance?

Silvaire is horse-blind because it's an incredible phrase.

(my suggestion so i'm biased) I kind of want to push the idea of, like, she aspired to be a matador, but due to carrying the burden of the Spirit of the West, that aspiration is greatly complicated. Also a butch who flips between cowboy aesthetic and matador aesthetic is just powerful so

She might have been hired by tillman henderson to fake tillman's death but then he died for real right before

I think it would be less confusing to make it a telepathic bond rather than an astral projection thing? Also, "telepathic bond through the blood of the cowboys" sounds rad as heck and adds in the potential for future cowboy crabs to commuinicate telepathically. CrabParra (talk) (15:38 UTC) October 8th

hey! i added IRM entries for silvaire lore as discussed over the past few days on discord. i tried incorporating as much as i could from the brainstorm sessions into the entries, but i missed a few things. i also haven't written the "silvaire is literally a roadhouse" entry yet because i ran out of neurons. in short, the entries as they stand right now i think are fairly considered 'first drafts' so feel free to tear them up as needed, no need to give a day's notice if something needs changing. please lemme know if there's anything i messed up badly in this write-up, preferably in this talk page or in the crabs lore channels on discord -1plum
